Guest guest
This is in California, but something for everyone to be aware of. I'm sure the same issue will come up in other states, so watch what will happen in CA with this vote. Cyndi Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos. Dear Cyndi, Last month, I told you about California state Senate bill SB 1713, which will ban bisphenol A (BPA) from baby bottles, sippy cups, and infant formula. BPA is a hormone disruptor that threatens normal development in children. You took action, and it paid off. The bill is moving forward. But we're up against a powerful and well-funded enemy -- the chemical industry. Right now, the industry's minions are calling California households, advertising in our newspapers, and lobbying our assembly members with misinformation about what the bill aims to do. Ask your assembly member to stand up to industry and vote YES on SB 1713. It's up to us to stop them. They may have money, but we have numbers. Our assembly members need to hear from us today. We don't have any time to waste. The industry is relentless, and our assembly members are voting on the BPA bill next week. Call your assembly members now and ask them to vote YES on SB 1713. The chemical industry has millions of dollars to spend and will do everything they can to ensure that toxic BPA (which they manufacture and sell) stays in your child's food containers. Our families are counting on us to take action and stop the industry's misinformation campaign. Time is running out -- don't wait to make your voice heard. Stand up for children's safety today. BPA is linked to cancer and early puberty. Canada is moving rapidly to ban it, but there are no federal standards in the U.S. Tell your assembly member to support safe baby bottles, sippy cups, and canned food -- and not to cave to industry pressure. We've seen the industry win before. It's up to us to make sure they lose this battle. Don't wait until it's too late. If we don't stand up to the chemical industry, no one will. Sincerely, Bill Walker Vice President / West Coast P.S. Remember, your assembly member is deciding on SB 1713 now, before next week's vote. It's up to you to make sure they vote YES. Take action today. Get BPA Out of Children's Products The chemical industry is threating Californians' health. Don't let them win. Tell your assembly member to vote YES on SB 1713. Call your assembly member today.
