Barbara sent this to me today, thought you all might enjoy seeing it.

Cyndi

In a plastic container with a firmly fitting lid, mix:

1 cup borax (20-Mule-Team Borax)

1 cup baking soda1/4 cup salt1/4 cup citric acid

30 drops citrus essential oil--I use orange Put all of it in the container, shake it up. Use 1 tbl percontainer in the dishwasher. You will need to rinse dishes before loading as this nontoxic recipe will not melt off the chunks of food like store bought toxic powders will. Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars.

Ok, thanks for the update! One tablespoon does sound a little skimpy, especially for the people I live with, lol.

A person who sent this recipe, corrected herself a little later to use TWO tablespoons per wash.

But I live with PIGS, lol. I almost wrote that in my original reply, and then I changed it to "people" because it sounded kind of harsh, lol. Well, the truth hurts. ;-)Cyndi

LOL....but this is a DISHwashing powder not laundry soap...

And, you could always add more if needed.

Do you mean, your people do not lick their plates clean? Well, that's your fault, you did not train them properly... ;)

I interpreted the original directions to be 1 tbsp. for each soap

container in the dishwasher (mine has 2). Does this mean that I

should put 2 tbsp. in each soap container?
