Guest guest
Hi Meighan! I searched Shirleys Wellness cafe, which is the first place I go to look when I have pet questions. I typed in ear mites in the search box and these were the results. Perhaps if you read up a little, you can decide what you'd like to try: Glyconutrients for Pet's Health "Our dog, Teddy, had either an ear infection or ear mites. We tried the ear cleaner and ear mite medicine from the pet store and with minimal results. We started giving Teddy one ounce of glyconutrients juice at night when mom drinks hers. On day 3, yes, after only 3 days, the symptoms were gone! We're still cleaning some stuff from his ear, but no more rubbing, scratching or tilting his head." Natalie R., Ohio Marine Phytoplankton is great for pets too! Marine Phytoplankton are rich in glyconutrients and contains all the essential components of life. The percentage of rejuvenating elements in plankton remarkably exceeds those present in brewer's yeast and wheat germ. Plankton corrects the deficient or unbalanced nutrition, common in the customs of our present-day civilization of consuming incomplete foods, often with added chemical ingredients, which expose us to physiological problems as various as they are numerous. Dr. Jerry Tennant, M.D. says that marine phytoplankton contains almost everything one needs to sustain life and to restore health by providing the raw materials to make new cells that function normally. Learn how phytoplankton saved a dog's Life EAR MITES Some cats, even when fairly healthy otherwise, have trouble clearing mites. These are many formulas in Pitcairn, Frazier, McKinnon, and de Bairacli Levy. The newest suggestion I have is an Ayurvedic medicine from Ayush Herbs - Neem oil. At this point I do not think it interferes with the homeopathic response. What ever you treat with, be sure to also treat the tip of the tail, as it is near the ears when cats curl up and can transmit mites back to the ear. TICKS A friend of mine did get guinea hens this year and has had no more ticks. Bronners pure castile soap, very diluted in an old cleanser bottle. I'll report back how it works, lol. Hopefully others will have some advice too. My 3 cats and dog have ear mites and I have tried several things to get rid of them. I used the garlic/meullin oil drops, then the store bought drops and to tell you the truth, at the moment I can't remember the other. The mites are just brutal, and I am really trying to avoid a vet trip. I know that there is something else to try, anyone have ideas? Also, I wanted to know what some of you use for a facial cleaner? I posted awhile ago about Avalon Organics and found out they are probably not what I want to keep using. My skin gets pretty dry and would like something to keep my pores small. Anyway, thanks a lot!Have a great day,Meighan Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars.

Guest guest
Meighan,It sound like they are reinfecting themselves. Treat their ears and then oil their tails. A lot of time the mites jump off onto the tail when it is wrapped around their head and then once the ears are habitable again they move right back in. Plain olive oil will work on the tail.
