There is some sort of copper tape you can get to put around your plants, and copper strips to make collars. I've been meaning to look for some too. Guest guest Posted June 17, 2008 Report Share Posted June 17, 2008 salt sprinkled on snails works, but euch! Diatomaceaous (sp?) earth sprinkled around plants should keep them away. The sharp little skeletons of the diatoms cut soft bodied critturs. I've also heard of people putting out dishes of beer. I haven't tried any of the above. I've heard of burint a soda can with the top cut off to the rim and then filling with beer.
