Terracycle gets the sponsor corporation (in the case of the yogurt it is Stonyfield Farms) to pay for the containers' donation fee. It's a great, easy way to get the community involved in both a fund raising & recycling program (no more chocolate bars or raffle tickets :-). They also have programs to collect cookie wrappers, soda bottles, drink pouches, and a new one for corks (Although I did get a look from the town manager at last night's Energy Committee meeting for bringing up the corks :-)!!).Best,Meredith Gas prices getting you down? Guest guest
This is so cool! Thanks for the info, & the best part of all is that the products are sold at Target, Walgreen's, Office Max -- all quite close to my house. Definitely interested in the lawn fertilizer! And the worm casings.
