Peroxide and Plastics

Hello Cyndi and all of you:

 

I have not tried the food grade peroxide, but would

consider it, as Dr. Bill Wattenberg of kgo.com, has

suggested that a few drops be added to your washing

water for vegetables and fruits, to kills diseases

that are coming to you on them.

 

Dr. Bill is not a medical doctor, he is a scientist

[nuclear] and university professor who has had a radio

program on kgo for about 30 years and I listen when I

can get him on my regular radio, you can listen on the

internet also.

 

There will be many on here who know and respect what

he has to say about science subjects and if he does

not know the answer, there are other learned men, who

do and will call to answer your question.........he

loves to talk to the kids with science questions.

 

He has said to never put any plastic in the microwave,

with food in it.

 

The microwave causes the plastic to release petroleum

into the food........especially with baby bottles.

 

Heat in the microwave, in glass or paper, never

plastic.

 

Laughing, cause you already know that it is one of my

soap box subjects, and was pleased when he agreed with

me.

 

If you want to listen on the internet, he is on at 10

pm on Saturday and Sunday nights and for replay also,

if you go to kgo.com and look for the hosts pages he

will be there, even if I have mis-spelled his last

name, I can never remember if it is berg or burg on

the end.

 

I like his programs, as he does what so many of us

would like to do, lives in his childhood cabin, with

solar and other inventions, as he is too far from the

utility lines to connect.

not know that I exist, LOL, I am a secret listener on

the radio.

 

He has kids do a trick with dry raisins dropped in a

glass of 7up, it is to teach them about reaction, as

they move around in the glass.........sorry, I am not

science educated.

Very interesting. I am going to have to look up food grade peroxide. I didn't even know you could get it. Do you know if its safe or recommended for kids too? I have to admit I feel like I contaminated myself and my kids with my " old " way of doing things. Like microwaving plastic. Geesh. I feel like " WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!! " But I guess its better that I change that now then never change at all right?

Michelle, I know Azure Standard has food grade peroxide... As for feeling like you contaminated your kids...lol....I feel exactly the same way...I think back 3-4 years, and the days I felt like a GREAT mom...because I baked all day with the kiddos...you know, fudge brownies, cakes, cookies by the hundreds...with all that CRISCO. YIKES! And VEGETABLE OIL. It makes me shudder. lol...really. But I'm really grateful that I've learned to do better. In fact, we made cookies last night. Carob Toll House, I call them...carob chip cookies...with butter, whole wheat flour..and HONEY. The kids love them. I made carob brownies all the time, too...and the frosting is an almond butter base. I, like you, am SO GLAD AND BLESSED to have been led in the right direction. My family is so much better for it. Hi Ruth,

 

I have not hear of Dr. Bill Wattenburg, but i will check this out. Thanks for the tip. I believe H2O2 would be great for soaking food in. I've done it myself.

I would do a lot of research before I gave it to kids. I don't remember reading anything specific regarding kids, but who knows?

 

And it's NEVER too late to change. When you know better, you do better.

Doesn't Azure Standard require a large minimum order? I think I got a catalog a couple years ago.

Cyndi, I havent actually ordered from them myself, but a lady here in my town does. I think...now dont hold me to this...but I'm THINKING I understand that you can have an order of any size, but you pay extra for shipping if you dont have at least a $40 order. Can't remember if I mentioned this, the last food grade H2O2 I got was from Guardian of Eden. I'd probably order from them again, if/when I get some more.
