Guest guest
"""Ok.....is it just pork that is so unhealthy or does she say all or some other meats as well are unhealthy for us?And if it's just pork, please explain why it's only pork.thanks,Sluggy """" shaggy ., ...... i would love to explain katies position . shie is not jewish so her stand on pork is not based on her religious preference . just from a scientific background and what she learned . she is also strongly against shrimp and other bottom feeders seafood . that jewish dietary law ought to be obvious . katie is not against meat per se , just the meat that the bible [ which in this case would be jewish dietary laws ] prohibits . she is not kosher , just following the do's and dont's . as to WHY - i dont remember . i listen to her lecture about 6-8 years ago -- at a time when my brain was on overload . i listened , it made sense and mentally i decided this is right to follow -- and then my brain turned off and went on . but i do remember , that it does damage on the cellular level , in the muscles and make chemical poison . some of you might know katie frates as a dinosaur and flood lady . i respect her knowledge and have not found need to question her research and findings . she is smarter than me . but then ... i know jews .... my hebrew teacher is one of them ... who will eat anything that isnt nailed down . one time he was looking forward to soem special pastrami sandwiches on rye . we talked one time about kosher and how you would actually have to have 2 kitchens in orer to follow the kosher laws to the last . i think the jewish freinds i have follow the laws in so far , that they do not eat what teh bible says not to eat and go on . personally i feel better when i do not eat pork , if i do eat it , somehow my body does not feel well . wish i could tell you more ... Guest guest
I don't feel good after eating pork or bacon either. Ham doesn't bother me, but for some reason pork doesn't sit well. I don't miss not eating it. cyndi In a message dated 4/5/2008 8:48:53 A.M.
