I know what you mean about the A/C! I turn it down or off when my husband isn't home, but when he's here he has to have it cranked up. We argue about it all the time. I hate to be cold, and I'm trying to keep our elec. bill under control at the same time, so every time I hear it come on, it just grates on my nerves, lol. Unfortunately, it's so hot here too in the summer, that everyone does the same thing. I can't even wear shorts in my own home because I am freezing all the time. :-(

Noone here is concerned about recycling either. Our town does not do curbside recycling. We have to bag everything up and take it to machines. I think there are two (that i can think of) here in town. Two machines for a town of 50,000 people? What does that tell you? We've been able to reduce our amount of recyclables substantially by not using packages products, but it still would be nice to have some pickup here. At least they do a yard waste pickup.

Pau D'arco tea has a mild licorice flavor, you might like it, Terri. I'm glad you found a local health food store. Do you know where a Wild Oats store is? You might find a good selection there. How's the job going? And Brian? Hope all is well...

I've never heard of that one. I am not impressed much with Stash and Bigelow. I've liked TM for years and had tried Tazo and Yogi now an again but hey weren't at my supermarket much so I stuck to Celestial Seasonings.

Now my FL supermarket doesn't have much variety in flavors so much as brands. You can get about 10 diff brands of Green Tea (which I'm not particularly fond of) but not a whole lot of other flavors. So I found a health food store in Tampa and they have a HUGE variety of Tazo and Yogi so I'm set now.

I like tea, but wasn't sure I'd drink much here since its warmer all yr round. BUT I've noticed that while its almost always warm/hot, people here can't handle it... it's ridiculous imo. But anyway so everyone's AC is CRANKED. I freeze my hoo-hoos off at work and drink tea all day to keep from shivering. I can't wear sandals- my feet might get frostbite. I bring sweatshirts to movies and restaurants. Just last night I stopped at Blockbuster and was freezing b/c i'd left my sweatshirt in the car thinking i'd be okay for the short while that it took to pick a movie. It seems like such a waste of electric to me to keep places SO cold. My coworker thinks its hysterical that i complain its cold all the time even tho i'm from jersey and should be able to "handle" it - while I can handle below zero temps OUTSIDE in winter, I choose not to (that's why i moved to FL) but outside temp and inside temp is different. I'm not comfortable at a desk for 8 hrs a day in 66 degrees!

Ack - sorry a/b the vent, i just find FL residents to be full of it when they talk about handling the heat - i also am highly disappointed in their lack of eco-friendliness. theres barely any recycling and apparently no real effort at electricity savings either.

I have a million different teas, lol, especially herbals. I just started drinking Pau D'Arco, which is supposed to have healing properties. Cyndi In a message dated 3/14/2008 11:18:35 A.M. I did just recently find a Licorice Root Tea by Yogi Tea that is very good

too. I'm also a fan of their Cold Care teas - tea is soothing on its own, but whatever is in TM's teas is that much more soothing when you're sick I think. Terri It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms and advice on AOL Money & Finance.
