Guest guest
It's important to use the organic, unprocessed, "extra virgin" type of coconut oil. Nutiva has a good one, also Tropical Traditions...when you start refining oils, you get into trouble when they are heated. Cyndi In a message dated 3/14/2008 8:07:26 A.M. I have at least 3 diff kinds of oil in the house currently - seems like they all have some drawback to them... terricyndikrall wrote: I like their coconut oil... It's Tax Time! Guest guest
The more refined and processed we have made our food, the sicker we have become. They have told us no fat, no cholesterol, no carbs, no salt, no sun....in other words, nothing "natural" or REAL. It's also important to note that the best butter and milk are raw, organic and grassfed, same with meat. Organic, cage free, humane eggs are proven to have more Omega 3's and less salmonella than commercial eggs. It's all about quality... Cyndi In a message dated 3/14/2008 8:29:13 A.M. All vegetable oils are hazardous to your health and promote inflammation of your arteries which leads to heart disease. The absolute healthiest fat is butter fat, next is coconut oil and all other animal fats and after those is olive oil. That's it. No other fats of any kind are good for you. If you stop and think about that, back in 1900s heart disease was unheard of, cancer was very rare and people on the whole were much healthier. Everyone was eating butter and lard, milk was not skimmed and not pasteurized . That was before everyone was scared of saturated fats. Look at everyone now......to heart disease and cancer add obesity and a host of other degenerative diseases. What does that tell you? It tells me to go back to healthy, old fashion eating. Guest guest
Carbs can be okay, again it's a matter of being unrefined and restrained, lol. Noone wants to do what it takes to prepare "healthier" carbs. Even veggies have carbs. Cyndi In a message dated 3/15/2008 4:29:43 P.M. It is just an opposite, they want you to eat MOSTLY carbs which is why there is so much obesity and degenerative diseases. Barbara It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms and advice on AOL Money Finance.
