Good uses for soured raw milk

Truthfully, I've never even noticed any souring of my milk. I use it mostly for my kefir, and I do add a bit of raw milk to the kefir when I drink it, but if it goes sour, I never notice, lol.

 

Sometime back, someone was asking for ideas on what to do with soured raw milk, so I thought it would be helpful to post this. I don't know who had asked, or if they are even still a member, lol. People come, and people go.......most don't talk at all....

I'm just not a milk drinker, I guess. I'm happy with water the rest of the time.

 

I lurk on several lists too. I think the normal rule is that 20% of members post 80% of the time, or something like that, lol. I like to join lists where I can learn about something I'm interested in, so I usually only ask questions and listen to the more knowledgeable people. Some lists I'm very active on, some lists I'm slightly active on, and some lists I just lurk. Just like everyone else, I suppose. :-)cyndi

I think Barbara just meant plain raw milk, as opposed to the sour raw milk we were discussing at the time. :-)cyndi

I throw some into my kefir sometimes, but other than chocolate milk, that's about it. I did flavor the coconut oil/raw butter mix one time, but usually I just eat that with a little stevia.

What about that diabetic confection you were talking about the other day? Do you think some cacao powder would work in that? I love chocolate and nuts together. :-D

I didn't even notice, lol. I usually do things like that-write Plants instead of Pants, etc. lolol.

Really? That's a surprise to me....I love milk and as much as I drink every day, I never fail to stop and think how delicious this raw milk is..... I don't need any additives (cacao, maple syrup etc...) in it, just plain milk... LOL

Yes, I did use it in diabetic confection the first time I made it but later, I bought grain sweetened chocolate chips at the health food store and used that plus nuts. I do like that but I tend to eat too many of those a day so I do not make it lately :( LOL

Yes, I found them in my little HFS. They are not too sweet as you can imagine but still good. Last time I was there I got a semi sweet chocolate chips that I used and they were good too.

 

I finished all the confections and am now on more strict diet... :(
