This takes many of us one step closer to our resolve of searching out meat and dairy suppliers close to home. Know where your food comes from! CyndiStart the year off right. I do not want the government deciding for me what is safe and what is not. *I* want the right to decide that for myself! They say cloning animals will allow them to selectively breed their most desirable animals, and their healthiest animals. And do it faster. Why wait for one animal to reproduce when you can use the embryos in ten surrogate mothers? It's all about money, naturally. For endangered animals, this could help tremendously. My husband has found local beef and eggs, and he wasn't even looking, lol. A woman he works with raises grass fed, antibiotic and hormone free beef. She sells it (sends the steers off to the butcher) when enough people want enough for a whole steers worth. And another woman comes to the parking lot of his workplace with fresh, organic eggs once a week. Up here near Sacramento, the open fields are mostly all gone too. The big farms are all selling out to developers.
