Guest guest
What is everyone cooking today for New Years? Anything fun, traditional or otherwise? I have two slowcookers going, lol. One is pork and sauerkraut for my husband, the other is pork barbeque for the kids, and as for me-I'll cook some black eyed peas and turnip greens with a bit of leftover Christmas ham for flavoring. :-) CyndiSee AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter. I really don't have a food tradition for NYD that I follow. Growing up it was southern homecooked food(ham or something pork with cornbread, greens & the ubiquitious black eyed peas).....hubby's family always had an Italian meal for NYD. 'Que sounds good to me......got any leftovers for me?lol sluggy
Guest guest
Our new tradition that we started when we married is to make homemade potato pancakes w/ sour cream and applesauce and bratwursts. Yum. Our neighbor brought us some posole, which was pretty good too. Leslie RealSimple [RealSimple ] On Behalf Of Sluggy Thursday, January 03, 2008 4:40 AM RealSimple Re: [RealSimple] What's cooking?
