Guest guest
How does everyone like to cook their turkey? I like Martha's wine and butter recipe the best. Last year I brined my turkey, which did make it nice and moist, but I missed the flavor of the wine and butter. This year I'm going back to the wine and butter. I did find a local turkey today. yay! Cyndi ************* I did the butter & wine method last year Cyndi and will prolly do that this yr too. I would love to try what I saw on a show on Food Network this past week. Some guy who owns a restaurant that serves just Turkey had someone make him a stand so he could cook his turkeys like people do chickens sitting on beer cans. I guess I'll have to find a handyman/welder to make me a stand before next year.lol I know it's bad for you but I'd love to try a deep fried Turkey once. Good for you finding a local boid! sluggy
Guest guest
Kail has talked many times about buying a spit for our gas grill and trying to cook a turkey like that. If I tell him about "beer can turkey" I'm sure he'll want to do that too! lol. I've always wanted to try a deep fried turkey too. I wonder if you could use coconut oil or palm oil for it? That would definitely make it more healthy.cyndi In a message dated 11/15/2007 8:22:32 P.M. Guest guest
Kari, I think that is what they call a Freudian slip, lol. Here is the link to the recipe. I just use my own stuffing.
