We need you to do these four things today:

 

Send $25 to the Farm-to-Consumer Foundation, a Section 501©(3) non-profit organization whose mission statement and purpose is, in part, to help save the nation’s family farms by protecting the constitutional right of farmers to provide their unprocessed and processed farm foods directly to consumers through any legal means. By donating to the Foundation, you will contribute to the AB1735 Revolt and ensure that your right to raw milk and raw milk products is protected. Go here to make your tax deductible $25 donation. They take credit cards and checks. Stores have said they will add to the kitty as well. The goal is to raise about $35,000 dollars in the next few weeks to fund very aggressive legal protection actions to stop AB 1735 via court proceedings and subsequent litigation. We will then have our hearings and expose the parties that performed this quiet and surgical sneak attack on your rights to eat the foods of your choosing. A weekly measure of how much money has been raised will be displayed here until the $35,000 is gathered.

 

 

Educate a new "raw milk friend." We need the financial strength to fight this battle and win. This week educate another person about the value of raw milk, and tell them where to buy it. Doing this will double the sales of raw milk. If you need a DVD that helps educate others about raw milk call 1-877 RAW MILK and we'll send you the “Raw Milk Voices†DVD. It contains, from consumers’ own mouths, the heartfelt and passionate reasons why raw milk is important. These testimonials really talk to health, science and your heart. (For Christmas, how about giving the wisdom of preventative nutrition and health enlightenment through whole foods?) Instead of raising prices, we ask that everyone drink more raw milk. We'll all get stronger!

 

 

Send letters to the Governor and your State Assemblyman. I have requested a meeting with the governor for the first week in December. Let's have bags of letters in Sacramento by the time I arrive. Demand an immediate repeal of AB 1735 and urge support of the forthcoming pro raw milk Assembly Bill that will be introduced in January, 2008. Find sample letter content here.

 

 

Send us your testimonials. Please send us as many of your raw milk testimonials as possible. If raw milk has made your life better we need your story. Send emails here or send letters to OPDC's Fresno address.

All donations to the Farm-to-Consumer Foundation are tax deductible and are earmarked for the “AB 1735 Raw Milk Fight Fund.†If, however, we are successful in rescinding this sneak attack legislation, those funds will be available for use to allow the Foundation to continue representing the rights of farmers and consumers across the nation in other states, ensuring that raw milk drinkers everywhere enjoy the basic and fundamental right to consume foods of their choice

The Foundation’s lawyers are the very best raw milk lawyers and food freedom fighters in the business. These lawyers have been hired to defend raw milk in California. If negotiations fail to produce signed and agreed results by December 1st, a legal complaint and associated litigation will be sought to stop AB 1735 cold in its tracks.

A new Bill in January

If this issue is not resolved by January, 2008, a new Bill will be introduced in the Assembly immediately to remove anti raw milk language from the AB 1735 law.
