To whom it may concern: Could you please post or forward this information to any listserves, mailing lists, or individuals for whom you think it would be appropriate? Thanks. - Dennis Brumm *** On June 7 of this year, David Fridley, staff scientist at Lawrence Berkeley Lab, active in San Francisco Bay Area peak oil groups, gave a presentation entitled " The Myths of Biofuels " organized by the Post Carbon Santa Clara Valley group (Santa Clara, California). David (and I) were two of the people who were involved last year with a Peak Oil Resolution passed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the first of its kind in a major American city. The presentation was taped and has been edited to DVD. It is now available for the cost of materials and shipping spent to produce and distribute it. Via Paypal the cost for the DVD is $7.50 (that includes US shipping. Elsewhere, there will be additional postage costs). Eventually it is planned to have the entire presentation available online at various locations, but the quality of information in the slides of the presentation, etc., as well as the ability to use the indexing functions that DVDs would not be as good when it's reduced to flash video at YouTube, etc. To acquire a copy of this DVD for your personal use or for showing to any group etc., a form is available at this URL: http://www.sfbayoil.org/sfoa/myths/acquire.html Links on the web page above will provide further information on the content and production of the DVD, including an animation that occurs midway in the production. Alternatively, you can email me directly (dennis) with your name, shipping address, and for those kind souls who may want more than one copy, the total number of the movies you need. You are encouraged to copy the DVD and distribute it as well once you have it. The graphics files we used for the label and DVD case for use have been posted and are linked to off the URL listed above. Upon receiving the order, unless other arrangements are discussed in the comments section, you will receive a PayPal invoice that will allow you to pay online (sometimes spam filters mark these as spam, so be sure to check there). If PayPal is not an option you're comfortable with, please note that in your email or in the comments on the form section of the order form. Personal checks will also be accepted to cover the costs; I would send you the address for that if you are so inclined.
