Guest guest
Yes, it is very interesting, but Mercola and his sales pitch is raising my hackles. I can't stand when he says 'there are three foods in your fridge that you should avoid' but I will tell you what they are after you buy what I want to sell you.....My reaction to this is 'you can shove it'..... Sorry, but I don't like this man. Barbara I would never support taking a diet pill, but Mercola sent out this email this morning, which I thought was interesting. He calls this product a "whole food based supplement." Despite its questionable name, lol, I thought some of you might be interested in reading about it. Guest guest
Oh, I know, he is always trying to sell something! But I read his articles in case there's something interesting happening. I bet he has a marketing degree too.lol I bet there are MORE than 3 things in MY fridge that you should avoid....LOLOL Why don't we have a game about guessing what they are? With all our knowledge here, we should be able to come up with some really good ones. I'll go first. I'll say he thinks it's Margarine, pasteurized Milk & Soda.....does Soda qualify as a food?lol If not, then nitrated meats like bacon, hot dogs & deli meats. Who wants to try next? sluggy
Guest guest
LOL....OK, I would say oils! Oils are especially bad for our health so they should be avoided like a plague! The only exception is coconut oil which is very healthy because it is mostly saturated. The other thing I will say are grains. Grains are not digestible in a raw form by any animal except birds. Birds are the only ones that evolved to be able to digest grains. Then there is sugar! It is an evil that makes us fat, but it is oh...so good! LOL The only reason I'm able to avoid sugary deserts is because I don't have them in the house. I just don't buy any sweets. Barbara Poor Barbara.....Dr. M just isn't her cup of tea. Guest guest
I think you are right! If we are going to add others to the list (from just the fridge) I would add ketchup, although technically I think that's a condiment, lol. In fact, i think most condiments have sugar in them. BBQ sauce, salad dressing, etc. In the freezer, ice cream (all that sugar.) Any frozen prepared foods. My mind is drawing a blank-Now I must return to Harry Potter!
