I see what you mean, Cee. I hadn't thought it through completely. I was thinking about it more for taking it when you feel a cold or flu coming on than an every day thing. Building a healthy immune system is more important than relying on a cure-all to keep away the nasties.

 

I do the same things you do-I've had a compromised immune system for so long that I'm just plain scared about getting a cold or flu. And it doesn't hurt to have a backup plan in case that bird flu ever does migrate to humans-although I have my doubts it ever will.

 

I've heard people on other lists who swear by stuff like this, which is why it caught my eye. They even mix up their own batches.
