Guest guest
Hi there, I'm looking to get a dehydrator that will also make quart sized yogurt at temps lower than 120. Any recommendations would be helpful. I know many of you love Excalibur, but I'm hoping to get something a little cheaper since we definitely can not afford that right now. Thanks! Guest guest
Angela, I know that Le'equip has a less expensive dehydrator. I have to admit that the excalibur is still the way to go. I believe there is a website called discountjuicers.com that sells the excalibur cheaper. There is also another sight called livingright.com that might not be too bad. Discount juicers gives free shipping also. Gail C tfoamc ; RealSimple From: charmcitymamaDate: Fri, 11 May 2007 15:28:08 -0400[RealSimple] recommendations for dehydrator? Guest guest
I'm curious too, Angela. I think it would be nice to have a dehydrator, but I always hesitate to spend the money on one. I'm just not sure I'd get enough use out of it to justify the money. I'd rather invest in a good meat grinder, if I had to choose, but a dehydrator that could make yogurt too? That would be awesome! :-) Cyndi RealSimple , " Angela Benam " <charmcitymama wrote: > > Hi there, > I'm looking to get a dehydrator that will also make quart sized yogurt > at temps lower than 120. Guest guest
I've gotten 1 off of freecycle and a friend gave me another one that I traded off to Ellen on TWF. (You can see the pics of the carrots she made in it on her website.) I've occasionally seen them at garage sales also, so keep an eye out. Like the bread machine and a few other appliances I've gotten from garage sales and freecycle, I don't use mine often enough to make it worth spedning the money on. I don't feel bad about using it only occasionally when it's free or low cost... <wink-wink> --Cee-- RealSimple , " cyndik2 " <cyndikrall wrote: > > I'm curious too, Angela.
