Guest guest
I used to grow strawberries in PA, but I've never had room for raspberries, darn it. :-) Luckily, strawberries are a BIG cottage industry here in CA! Love it! Cyndi In a message dated 4/13/2007 5:36:43 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, barbara3 writes: I know that all kinds of berries are beneficial to one's health. Guest guest
LOL! I saw some strawberry plants at Lowes and wanted them soooo badly, but I have no place to plant them other than pots, and I don't think they'd do very well there long term. We used to pick wild raspberries in PA, I still miss that. I haven't seen any good places to do that out here. I have all my tomato plants, pepper plants, green beans and herbs potted up now. I'm so happy! LOL. I gave up on my husband building me any raised beds, so I used the pots I already had. They got a nice soaking rain today. :-) Cyndi In a message dated 4/13/2007 9:32:10 P.M. Guest guest
I'm glad you have your vegetable garden going even if it is in pots only. Maybe the next year you will get the raised beds Barbara cyndikrall wrote: LOL! Guest guest
Well, he is still "promising" to get them built, lol. If he does, I can plant MANY other things, lol! Guest guest
Why can't you plant those veggies in the ground? If you said it before, I forgot Seems to me that pots take up room too so the veggies could go in the ground in the same space that the pots are taking. I probably do not understand your situation. Guest guest
A. Dogs (too many) B. Rocks (too many) C. Room (lack of)LOL. The pots are on the concrete at the back of the yard. We can't dig down more than 12 inches because there is nothing but rock. And the yard is way too small-no out of the way place to rope off from the dogs.
