Guest guest
insider (AT) newstarget (DOT) com(NewsTarget) NewsTarget Insider Alert (www.NewsTarget.com) Dear Readers, A couple of quick developments on the breaking FDA story today. Firstoff, the URL we originally posted in our feature story only pointed tothe *short* version of the FDA's downloadable document. The FULLversion is found here: http://www.fda.gov/OHRMS/DOCKETS/98fr/06d-0480-gld0001.pdf However, as of 7:45PM, Mountain Standard Time, the FDA's document serverhas frozen and probably crashed. So you may wish to wait until tomorrowto try to download this document. As of this writing, the document isunavailable from FDA servers. (It is possible they may have removed it,although I suspect the server simply crashed.) It seems ironic that NewsTarget has been subjected to numerous attacksby internet criminals who have so far failed to take our siteoffline. Yet when we post a single story about the FDA and include alink to a downloadable document, the FDA's own web server crashes. It's not just us pointing to the document, by the way. Lots of othersites like HealthFreedomUSA.com and JonBarron.org are also pointing toit and urging grassroots action. Word is spreading fast throughout thenatural health community. In fact, I believe that Rima Laibow was one ofthe first people to bring this issue to the forefront, although therecould be other groups I'm not aware of who were reporting on this issuelong before now. (Sometimes it takes a while for the really big storiesto bounce around the industry and get sufficiently noticed. I don'tclaim to know exactly who reported this first. The strange thing is thatthe document has been posted on the FDA's website since December 2006.It was buried, though, and probably intentionally.) Health Freedom Cartoon PostedThe official announcement on this won't go out until tomorrow morning, but we rushed to post an FDA / Health Freedom cartoon on this wholetopic late this afternoon. It's quite hilarious and shows a healthfreedom castle under siege by the FDA (it even has catapults!). Check itout at: http://www.newstarget.com/021790.html Speed for kids, but not vegetable juiceFinally, it's interesting to consider that under these new FDAguidelines, it will be illegal to hand a child a glass of raw vegetablejuice if it has any health purpose whatsoever, but it will remainperfectly legal to drug them up on amphetamines like Ritalin. So SPEEDis legal, but not vegetable juice. Hmmm... Cigarettes will be legal, but echinacea will be outlawed. Statin drugswill be advertised on television, but green tea will be confiscated byport authorities and destroyed as contraband. Chemotherapy will remainlegal, but selling anti-cancer broccoli sprouts will land you in prison. Our world truly has gone crazy, folks. The insanity has reacheda level of saturation that even the 20th century's greatest fictionauthors like George Orwell could not have imagined. Who could havepossibly guessed the FDA would try to label irradiated food as"pasteurized," or that the Almond Board of California would insist thatpaseturized almonds are identical to RAW almonds? Who could havepredicted that the FDA would ever say something as stupid as, "a glassof vegetable juice is a drug"? And yet that's what they have nowessentially stated. It's only gonna get increasingly bizarre from here forward, I suspect. The FDA is now acting out of desperation and has clearly lost all touchwith reality. Its announcements now sound more like the rambling, confused speech of a drug-induced lunatic. Somebody please slap a "DoNot Resuscitate" tag on this organization and let it pass away in peace. Stay tuned for more updates as this story unfolds. We're wondering ifthe mainstream media will ever wake up and report anything on this orif, as usual, they will just ignore the topic and keep headliningstories about "dangerous" vitamins.
