Indeed, and when you start looking at enameled cast iron by makers of Le Creuset, the pot prices climb into the hundreds, ugh. The good news is, these pots should last a lifetime, unlike teflon...

This is a great article, I agree. But even the 'reduced' price or $150 is a bit much for my tastes! I will have to go home and check to see what materials my pots and pans are made out of... Cyndi's right. Try buying these enameled cast iron pieces individually and

the cost is much more than $150. Plus it's hard to find either an enameled

small pot with lid or an enameled skillet(without grill ridges in the pan)

at any price.

Maybe as the enameled iron cookware gets more popular, the variety of

pans/pots available and price points will also increase in number.
