Guest guest
Ooooh Cyndi.....what are the sizes of those clothes you are letting go of? As for my decluttering, on Monday I started to work through my clothes closet (still have a ways to go) and also went through my bookshelves. The clothes I am donating to a yard sale some friends are having to raise funds for an event they sponsor every year. The books I divided up between relatives, friends and coworkers, with the remaining listed on Paperback Swap. I noticed some of the books I have listed on PBS previously have been on my list for a while, so I think I'll remove anything that has been on the list for over six months and give the books away locally. I'm also going through my metaphysical tools but am not sure where or to whom these should go. They typically find their new homes. Next up is finishing my clothes closet (it holds a lot more than clothes), the kitchen cupboards and the storage unit off of my balcony. My boyfriend will appreciate the extra room in the closet and my roommates will appreciate the extra room in the storage unit, although they could sure clean out some of their stuff from the unit too.....like all their empty boxes! I have a bag full of pants to donate, and I still have some more pairs to try on before I have someone run it over to one of the local thrift stores. I broke down and put in the bag a couple of suits from my banking days that I haven't been able to let go of, lol. I also found a drawer full of pajamas I forgot I had, so I need to go thru them too. I even got Kail to put some stuff in the bag, hee hee! My problem is that I swing between two sizes, so I've been hanging onto everything. It's time to pare down to what I really "need" as opposed to what I have in both sizes. Next weekend, we're (Kail) going to work on dismantling the pool. That'll free up valuable space so I can grow more veggies, yay! Anyone else got any simplifying stories to report? :-)Cyndi "Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and thewinds long to play with your hair." - Kahlil Gibran Don't get soaked. Guest guest
Noelle; I don't think any of it you'd want-mostly size 10 pants and jeans, and the suits you've seen before. I've offered them up on TWF already. Also, some misc. stuff like turtlenecks, t-shirts, etc. Nothing really nice, lol. :-)I looked up your list on PBS, but I didn't see anything I needed. I like your idea to donate any books on there longer than 6 months!!! I don't have too much on there now, but every little bit out of here counts. :-)Cyndi In a message dated 2/28/2007 4:25:14 A.M.
