Guest guest
Marlen- I would LOVE to read this article, but when I it doesn't come up, just a site where you would to the service. Is there a way you can copy and paste it into an email? Thanks! Guest guest
It is not a terrible article, when you think about the point of view from which it was written. This is a person uneducated about aromatherapy and the flower essences, yet she clearly lets people know that they worked for her, so much so that she wants to find out more. When you take it at that, it is a great article to get people interested, I think. It is not informative, it was written more as a humor piece, I think, but in her own way, she does endorse complementary approaches. It is great that you got traffic from it! :-) Debbie deb Beautiful hair ~ naturally! http://www.debrasrhapsody.com/rhapsody/forthehair.php - " Marlen Rodriguez - Aromatherapy Outet.com " <marlen Friday, September 12, 2003 1:17 PM NY Times Article > Has anyone seen the Article about Aromatherapy in the NY Times. > Here is a link > http://www.nytimes.com/2003/09/11/technology/circuits/11shop.html > > I'm not sure how they found my site but It was mentioned in the article > and since yesterday > I have been inundated with web traffic and orders. Guest guest
Anya- Thanks! I finally took the time to actually read the page and see what they were asking for (Duh, Lynda!), and registered. I thought the article was interesting, had some inaccuracies (but when is that NOT true in AT?) - like using Bergamot on the skin, something I would never do - but in the main a good article to lend a bit more credence to what we are all talking about. Marlen- Fantastic for you that this has helped your biz! Lynda -- Lynda Sorenson www.Luna-Aromatics.com
Guest guest
I was in shock when I saw all this traffic, I thought I had been listed on a new search engine or something when I checked it was coming from the NY times, and when I followed the link it took me to the article. So I was very surprised and happy. Guest guest
Hey Lynda, Marlen & others, It is a free subscription. I went ahead and signed up. The article was interestintg. I think the author was trying to make it informative not sarcastic or downing AT. Guest guest
Personally I think NY Times writers s---. They like to write articles then award themselves Pulitzers. I know of one writer in particular there who cries (literally) every time they have an article to write - crying that they're on deadline. Excuse me??? That's about a 100% given in your job. Anywayyyyyy, I read this article as a person who genuinely is 'new' to AT. All I can say is I learned more from all of you then anyone off the street would learn from this article. I know it's not meant to be a research piece, but I would classify it as even less than informative: a tickler. Like the news highlights announced 10 minutes before the news comes on. Only in the NYT's case you never get a real story to follow. On the other hand, the reading audience is mainstream America. Sounds like the article is at least perfect for them and if it at least pointed some of them in the direction of knowledgeable people (those of you on the list here and mentioned in the article!!) then they at least stumbled to a safe place to start learning. Good thing they didn't send anyone in for RDT. Dale - Cheryl Smith Friday, September 12, 2003 4:57 PM Re: NY Times Article " The article was interestintg. Guest guest
I found this thought provoking so I thought I'd pass it along. The print is teeny tiny so I'd cut & paste it into a word document to read it, if you have old eyes like mine.lol I'll also add that it's quite long so you'll want to have plenty of time available to finish it before you start. http://www.michaelpollan.com/article.php?id=85 sluggy
