Also, if snacking is not enough, roast a fresh heritage goose. We won’t have them again until Christmas! Both of these breeds are rare and the way to change that is to raise larger numbers as food. Order today for Friday arrival! Highland CattleHighland Cattle are the oldest registered breed of cattle, officially recognized in 1884. The Queen of England maintains her own Highlands at Balmoral Castle. A group of this docile but very strong breed is the only kind of cattle not known as a herd but rather a “fold”. Cold weather and snow have little effect on them so they can be raised as far north as Alaska and the Scandinavian countries. They are hard workers and can clear brush with speed and efficiency. Their meat is lean, well marbled and flavorful. Our Highlands are raised by John and Dorothy Priske in Wisconsin. For information on their B & B call: 920 484 3618. WE FEATURE two sampler packages – ORDER TODAY and get your shipment Friday for the big game. Both items are made from 100% Highland cattle. They have a complex taste with a touch of spice. • 4 summer sausages and 14 beef sticks $66 including shipping Sausages are 1 lbs each and individually vacuum-sealed. Just serve and eat, alone or with crackers and cheese. Fourteen Snack Sticks weigh about 1.4lbs. They are great with mustard or used as a stirrer in a Bloody Mary. • 49 Beef Sticks (about 5lbs) - $66 including shipping Beef sticks come in packages of seven. These are not the beef sticks you find at the truck stop! Just serve and eat, or use as a stirrer in a Bloody Mary. Embden GooseThe German Embden goose was the variety most typically used to cross-breed with other geese. But ours are 100% pure-bred and are distinguished by their well-rounded, thick breasts, long backs and strong legs. The Embden originates from Hanover, Germany. These excellent foragers are kept safe on Frank Reese’s sprawling farm in Lindsborg, Kansas. If you order today, your goose will arrive fresh and with the livers and giblets on Friday, February 2nd. • Fresh German Embden Goose (about 8.5-10.5 lbs) - Shipping Included $136.00 STAY TUNED NEXT WEEK FORTWO VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIALS!
