Guest guest
I received a box of Trader Joes 100% organic chamomille tea for Christmas from my sister. We don't have a Trader Joes here so she got some as a treat. Just opened it up and each individual unbleached teabag is.............. wrapped in plastic Blech what a waste. The least they could do is package it like Celestial Seasonings does or even in unbleached paper but plastic!Ellen LaFleche-Christian Lilac Hill Homestead / Vermont http://tinyurl.com/lpfaf Cheap Talk? Guest guest
Well, maybe they have other teas that are wraped properly? You know, Trader Joe's is not really a health food store.... I would say, buyers beware Barbara I received a box of Trader Joes 100% organic chamomille tea for Christmas from my sister. We don't have a Trader Joes here so she got some as a treat. Guest guest
No idea. I have never been in one. I figured with the 100% organic on the front, they'd be a bit more concerned.Ellen LaFleche-Christian Lilac Hill Homestead / Vermont http://tinyurl.com/lpfaf Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail beta. Guest guest
I agree with you totally.. The problem is that great majority of people have no idea that plastics can be harmful to our health. Seeing the great amount of plastic items, EVERYWHERE I think just about everyone accepts them as safe. Barbara No idea. I have never been in one. Guest guest
Oh, that's too bad, Ellen...and frankly I am surprised also! Plastic on tea bags is totally unnecessary. As Cyndi said, it's not really an "organic" store per se, but they do cater to those prefer organic, wholesome foods and low-impact lifestyles, so that is surprising. <shrugs shoulders> I still LOVE TJ's anyway! --Cee-- Disappointed in Trader Joes Posted by: "Ellen Christian" scentednights2002 scentednights2002 Sat Jan 27, 2007 11:55 am (PST) I received a box of Trader Joes 100% organic chamomille tea for Christmas from my sister.
