Thank you for posting this Cyndi. I have heard of this company, but because I have been a city dweller for a while, and most recently in a second floor apartment, I never considered growing my own organic produce. Because my balcony/patio faces a very busy street, I am concerned with all the dirty residue which would land on anything I grow out there, but I can check into a community garden and see when they have their next lot lottery. xoxoxo Noëllecyndikrall wrote: http://www.seedsofchange.com/enewsletter/issue_60/gardening_nutrition.asp "Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and thewinds long to play with your hair." - Kahlil Gibran

I tried to find a community garden around here, too. Apparently they don't exist! But my husband has kindly agreed to make me some raised beds in the backyard this year, yay! I still want to try some miniature fruit trees in pots, too. And, I can get into a CSA this year, if I am early enough. Maybe that's something else you can find in your area too?Cyndi

Community Supported Agriculture. Basically, you buy a " share " of a

local farmers organic produce, and it entitles you to a box of fresh

veggies every week. You can read more about it here, and see if there's

any farms in your area:

http://www.localharvest.org/search-csa.jsp?

scale= & lat= & lon= & x= & y= & ty=6 & zip= & st=40 & but.x=19 & but.y=12

I'm sure there are more links out there, too. If you search thru the

archives, you can find more links there, too. We talked about it a

while back. :-)
