Changes I Have Made Lately

Hello Dear Ones, I have posted much lately but have certainly enjoyed all of your posts, thank you! Recently I attended a wellness presentation at work. A local chiropractor provided out lunch and the very informative and entertaining presentation. At the end he offered all of us a free exam with consultation and adjustment. This was the Universe responding to my call for assistant on becoming educated and held accountable for my health. The chiropractic center I went to is not just about spine adjustments, it is a total wellness center, with a special emphasis on educating everyone who walks through the doors. There are weekly workshops, only 1/2 hour long, so anyone truly committed to a healthy lifestyle actually has time to learn about what to do and not do to obtain and maintain optimum health. And we learn the why and how. I have become so inspired since that first presentation at work that I immediately started to make changes in what I ate and drank. After my initial exam, and then the two follow up visits which included reviews of my x-rays and exam, as well as a plan on how to make healthy changes, I knew this was what I had been hoping/wishing/praying for. It was like hearing the Universe exclaim, 'Okay Noelle, you have been trying to manifest this for a few years now. I have dropped this at your feet, but YOU have to pick it up and receive it!' LOL Some of the immediate changes I made were cutting out all dairy as well as soy milk, and replacing the soy milk rice or almond milk. I also.....gasp....gave up coffee! And that means I also gave up......gasp.......artificial sweeteners! I replaced my synthetically processed multi-vitamins with ones made from whole foods. I have been eating organic produce and meat for a while now, but was not always faithful to eating them exclusively. That's changed. Now all food products I bring into my home for me to consume are organic. Where I give myself a little room is if I am a guest at a dinner party or eating out with others, but even then I have tried to choose the healthiest foods available. I'm doing the 80/20 plan.....80% of the time eating healthy, 20% slipping. But that 20% doesn't mean KFC, it means the no-MSG Chinese buffet! ;) While I am sharing my changes with my boyfriend, and, to a lesser extent, my roommates, I am not trying to change 'them'. The b/f tends to eat pretty healthy anyway, but for breakfast he still prefers home fries and eggs to my power smoothies, and I'm cool with that. :) I'll keep you update on my progress as I begin this committed journey to

Good for you. Noelle! I'm happy you found something that works for YOU. I was just telling someone the other day that when the Universe sends you a message, you'd better listen, lol.

And believe me, you won't have to try to change anyone. Your commitment to your health will inspire those around you. No one wants to hear the word "diet," and very few want to hear the word "healthy." People associate those words with "deprivation" and "denial." But as you become more healthy, and people see how well (and how much) you are actually eating with "real" food, they're going to want to know more-from you! ;-)

Please DO keep us updated! Cyndi

Noelle,

Congrats on your healthier life style!!! I wish more people would be as smart as you are :)

As we all know, the general health of American public is fast declining and people are living on pills and drugs to the delight of big pharma that are more than happy to supply those drugs. All those drugs have side effects that require more drugs to get rid of the side effects and that's how people are getting hooked on drugs.

Please do keep us posted on your progress and especially how your health is improving by your new life style :)
