Guest guest
Here's a site some might find helpful for finding local farms that grass feed their animals in your area. I found a chicken/egg supplier only 5 miles from me. through this site. Now if I could only find a local honey supplier I'd be happy. sluggy www.eatwild.com

Guest guest
Thanks for the link Cyndi. I didn't find any honey but I did find a local farmer offering CSAs, which is something else I had been looking for, without much luck. I had heard that consuming honey made locally can help with keeping some environmental allergies in check. Matt has allergies like me I was hoping to find local honey for us to test the theory. Anybody out there use local honey for this purpose?? sluggy - cyndikrall RealSimple Saturday, January 06, 2007 9:27 PM Re: [RealSimple] finding local suppliers for meat/dairy Sluggy, try here: http://www.localharvest.org/search-csa.jsp?scale= & lat= & lon= & x= & y= & ty=6 & zip= & st=40 & but.x=19 & but.y=12 I was JUST looking at my local organic honey on this site the other day.Cyndi In a message dated 1/5/2007 9:26:20 P.M. Guest guest
Yes, someone on another list told me about this a couple years ago. I do believe it works, at least, it helped me.
