Hello again,

The last post tonight, I promise.

I don't have anyone else to ask a peculiar question like this. But I

think if it should be asked anywhere, it would be here with all you

peculiarly knowledgeable people!

I restarted my veggie juicing thing at the start of every morning. It

includes a whole raw beet. I started it 4 days ago. The first day, a

friend of mine drank it with me, the second day a neighbor of mine

drank it with me, the third day a girlfriend of mine drank it with me,

today I drank it alone.

The first day my pee was normal, a gorgeous light yellow ;-), my

friend however called me about 6 hours after the drink, freaked out.

He said he was peeing blood! I knew it wasn't blood but beets and he

calmed down. The second day I again peed beautiful yellow, my

neighbor came over the instant I drove up to my house, also freaked

out saying she was peeing blood, again I calmed her down. Third day,

my girlfriend ran out of the bathroom 3 hours after we drank the

juice, hysterical, saying that she's dying and peeing blood while I

STILL peed yellow! Today, still no color change!

I did the juicing thing for 3 months just before my surgery and

remember I peed red too but I don't recall after how many days it

began. I know every time there was a nurse shift change in the

hospital, the nurses were freaked out changing my urine bag because it

was always an intense cranberry color and they kept calling the

doctors, so it took about 3-4 days in the hospital of not drinking the

juice every morning, to clear out.

My question is - how come EVERYONE and their mother pees red right

away and I'm over here on my FOURTH day already and still peeing

yellow! I'm kind of worried. Where's all the red going inside of me

if it's not coming out?

Any ideas?

What else are you eating that your friends are not? If you are eating a lot of fiber the pigments may be sticking to the fiber and leaving through the colon.Mike Golden, D.C.angel z. nest <toreadpeoplehealthinfooleander soup Sent: Thursday, June 5, 2008 2:38:05 AM red pee... why not meeeeee?

You are right - I AM eating a lot of fiber! Definitely more than they. Great point! Thank you, Mike! I'll experiment for a couple of days without the fiber and see what happens.

I agree. Wonderful site. We had just been discussing this, as one adult son is vaccine-injured and has a consequent malabsorption problem. We will experiment & increase his enzymes. The rest of us sometimes have beeturia but not always. Now we know why.
