We usually don't wake up, but if we do it's easy to fall back asleep. We were running low last week, so I stopped taking it for about 3 days until we could get some more. I didn't fall asleep as quickly, and I woke up 2-3 times during those nights. We've since gotten more, and I'm sleeping well again.Sharaoleander soup , "Tony" wrote:>> Hopefully one of our ace members such as Dr G or Dr L will step up and> help here, as I am the last person to ask that question! Guest guest
I have read about using L-tryptophan (must have the L first) for regulating sleep. You take it before bed and it makes you sleep and then you take it again when you wake up to keep you awake. It's a natural thing for the body. The article I read was long but very interesting on how and why it works. It worked so good that our government took it off the market for a while, but had to put it back because there was nothing it did except regulate sleep. I don't think you can buy it in the stores, but the article said you could buy it on line, and it is cheap. I hope you find some relief for your prostrate. If you search manual stroking of the prostrate gland you will find a few good sites on how this is done. It can release the toxins stored in the prostrate and make it go back to normal size, if cancer is not involved. Apparently doctors use to do this for men, but now it is very difficult to find a doctor willing to do it. If you print the article out and your doctor refuses, there is also an explanation of how to do it yourself, although it is harder to do it on yourself. samala,ReneeOn Mon, Jun 2, 2008 at 1:39 PM, Bill <w.wilkins wrote: Ok I''ll go into detail, I feel my brain has somehow turned of my sleep clycle and I have no idea how to turn it back on!My PSA is normal but my prostate id the size of a large orange/ grapefruit. Guest guest
L-tryptophan is in the stores, at least here in Oakland. I bought some as a loose powder since I have a capsule maker and make some for friends who are having sleep problems. I made some this morning for a friend who just had a heart attack and found out in the ER that he is diabetic! Stress did it to him.The store where I bought the l-tryptophan had several brands and versions. Online I found good prices at Iherb.com and vitacost.comPatGaiacita <gaiacita wrote: I have read about using L-tryptophan (must have the L first) for regulating sleep. Guest guest
Hey Bill guy, Here are a few more things I found: http://www.epilobium.com/HTML/epilobpressrelease.htm Epilobium is an herb that inhibits 5ar and aromatase enzymes – said to reverse prostate problems effectively. It goes on to say that it epilobium had been proven to have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. See what ya think. Here's a site that sells it: http://www.epilobium.com/buynow.html Also, no matter what, I wouldn't forget about Essiac tea. It's great for cleansing, draining toxins and boosting the immune system. See? I bet ya feel better already! MC
