Guest guest
Tammatha, Thank you for your kind words. He definitely is my "once in a lifetime dog." We have been very blessed to have him as a member of our family. My 3 children have loved being able to have Pomo be a part of their growing years. Now they spend their time respecting his senior days. (Funny how as I write this, he has made his way to my side here at the computer, like he used to .... maybe the colloidal silver is starting to work or he knows I am talking about him?) After having children, I have learned that my dog is not my child but he is definitely a part of our family and with that comes the responsibility that he, like the rest of us, deserves a life that is filled with quality. I think what becomes so difficult is when friends, family, etc. who are really not animal people, see a dog who is so old and may need a little help here and there and automatically think he should be put down. I try to be objective but at the same time, I have known him for 17 years and only pray I am doing what is always in his best interest.... I am sorry to hear of your dog passing. I know it must have been very sad. Again, thank you. We all love all our pups but there is always that "once in a lifetime dog" and she was mine. I find it to be the most emotionally trying thing...to let a beloved dog go. I wish you and your doggie well in spirit & health. It sounds like you are a wonderful dog parent. My intention is to keep it worth it for my old guy to keep on living. We are certainly on borrowed time. Kelly
