Guest guest
I mentioned using black walnut hull tincture. I did on one on my hand and now I have a huge orange stain on the age spot. It’s slowly fading. It has scabbed over a couple of times and I think the age spot is gone but it’s still very red and another eschar/scab is there. I put the BWH on a bandaid and left it on. I’m thinking this was not the way to do it.!! Please tell me how I was supposed to do it J Anna

I want to get rid of these age spots without going thru a cleansing or a dermatologist. > Judy =================================== Here's a great article I have about reversing age spots. Carol =================================== Age Spots - A Sign that It`s Time to Cleanse Your Liver Some people call them age spots, but they are actually liver spots. They are areas of the skin in which pigment is much darker than the normal skin color. In his book, Enzyme Therapy, Dr. Cichoke explains why liver spots appear: " As we age, our body`s enzyme production decreases and the activity level of the enzymes produced decreases as well. Free radicals are normally destroyed by our body`s defense mechanisms. But when our enzymes and other protectors can no longer keep pace with free-radical formation, the end result is a buildup of free radical wastes and byproducts. Age spots may be full of these free radical wastes resulting in toxic buildup in the skin.... Factors that may lead to the formation of age spots include toxic buildup, poor bowel habits, poor diet, inadequate or depressed liver function, excessive intake of fatty foods, intake of rancid oils, little or no exercise, smoking, excessive drinking, stress, and excessive exposure to sunlight. " (Cichoke, p.100) Helpful natural nutritional and lifestyle changes: & #9679; Apply lemon juice to the age spots. Over time, this will lighten the age spots. & #9679; Apply an enzyme-exfoliant. Use plant based enzymes micro-blended with wild-crafted blue green algae mixed with some spring water to turn the mixture into the consistency of paste. Apply to the affected area a few times throughout the day. & #9679; Eat plenty of fresh organically grown fruits and vegetables. If you cannot tolerate raw vegetables, steam them lightly and take plant-based digestive enzymes with them. If you cannot tolerate raw fruits, steam an apple a day and make sure to eat the apple skin also (make sure it's organic). Here is a list of foods that can support liver function: APPLES: Apples cleanse the liver and gallbladder (especially green apples). ARTICHOKE: Has great phytochemicals, which improve liver function and lower blood cholesterol levels. BLUEBERRY: Has medicinal properties affecting the liver and blood. FRESH CARROT JUICE: Excellent for liver rejuvenation and cleansing. CELERY: It is a diuretic that can relieve liver congestion. CHICORY: Both the root and the greens make an excellent tonic that cleanses and helps regulate the liver and gallbladder. GRAPE JUICE (Must be juiced fresh): Has been used in ancient times to treat liver malfunction, including jaundice and hepatitis, with great success. KALE: It can ease liver congestion. LEMON: It benefits bile formation and therefore supports liver function. LETTUCE: Used to reduce liver inflammation. OLIVE OIL: In the Middle East, extra virgin olive oil is highly regarded for its ability to support liver and gallbladder functions. ORANGES & TANGERINES: Used in ancient times for its medicinal properties for those with liver weakness because it\`s a liver cleanser. These fruits also contain phytochemicals that strongly stimulate liver detoxification enzymes (Albrecht, p.4). BLUE GREEN ALGAE (Wild-Crafted): Helpful in supporting the liver nutritionally (Kushak, et al, pp. 59-64). TURMERIC: This spice is the flavoring agent used in curry. It helps tone the liver and is known as a liver regenerator (p. 4). STRAWBERRY: Can breakup excessive toxins in the liver. SAFFRON: A liver detoxifier. VINEGAR (organic apple cider vinegar): Can energize the liver meridians. FREE RANGE EGGS (BOILED ONLY): It`s important to eat foods high in sulfur containing compounds to aid the liver in its detoxification ability. A specific liver support drink: Make sure you do the other nutritional steps first before you try this liver drink. Use organic apple cider vinegar, organic whole lemons, organic maple syrup and hot water. Begin with one tablespoon of vinegar, the juice of one half lemon, enough maple syrup to make your drink tasty and hot water (not boiling). Drink these 20 minutes after taking your friendly bacteria and wait another 20 minutes before you eat. Gradually, increase the vinegar to 2 tablespoons per day and continue to drink this mixture for 30 days. Coconut Oil - One of nature's marvelous foods: One of the most amazing foods assisting liver function and skin health is coconut oil. When coconut oil is consumed, the body transforms its unique fatty acids into powerful anti microbial powerhouses. Coconut oil is a natural anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti- fungal food (Fife, p. 57). Coconut oil's anti microbial effects come from its unique composition of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA). Coconut oil is composed of 48 percent lauric acid, 7 percent capric acid, 8 percent caprylic acid, and .5 percent carproic acid. These medium-chain fatty acids give coconut oil it's amazing anti microbial properties and are generally absent from all other vegetables and animal oils with the exception of butter (p.58). MCFA are natural substances the body knows how to use for its benefit. They are harmless to us while they are deadly to certain microorganisms. Researchers have been finding coconut oil to be of great benefit to liver health (p. 113). Nutritional Consideration for age spots: PLANT-BASED ENZYMES as digestive aids and cleansing agents: Use enzymes micro-blended with wild-crafted blue green algae (http://tinyurl.com/mkwo). PROBIOTICS: To assist digestive system functioning. Use friendly bacteria micro-blended with blue green algae (http://tinyurl.com/24ajq and http://tinyurl.com/26rur). BLUE GREEN ALGAE (Wild-Crafted)(http://tinyurl.com/g1iz ): To nourish the body with simple to digest macro and micro nutrients. COENZYME Q10: To supply oxygen to the liver. The March 2002 issue of Health Products business, a magazine that serves the natural products industry, included an article by Michael Schiavetta titled " A Natural Look at Skin Care. " One section of this article focuses on the importance of supplements. " ...nutrients such as coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) function as strong antioxidants, helping to reduce the effects of aging and improve the skin`s immune response. " When you purchase your CoQ10 make sure it is a supplement micro-blended with organic flax oil (http://tinyurl.com/f1f7). WHEAT SPROUTS: To promote liver cell regeneration. Use wheat sprouts micro-blended with blue green algae and red marine algae (http://tinyurl.com/6vxtu). & #9679; Drink 8 to 12 glasses of spring water daily. Take small and frequent sips to prevent your cells from shrinking (from dehydration). Avoid large amounts of fluid with meals (liquid with meals dilutes digestive enzymes which are designed to work without dilution from liquids). & #9679; If the spots change appearance in any way, make sure you see your doctor. Try the above listed foods with the recommended supplements and you might see some astonishing results! Remember, food is your best medicine..... References: Cabot, Sandra, M.D. (1999).
