Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am looking to see if any of you know if taking oleander extract or using oleander soup is effective while taking chemotherapy. I understand from reading some posts that many are against chemotherapy- however, it is not me who will be using oleander while receiving chemotherapy- and I am not in any position to make medical decisions for this person. However, I would very much like to help them, and since they have not responded to any chemotherapy regimen and their cancer has continued to spread, I am hoping I can find them an alternative that may help. Radiation therapy worked on primary tumor- but metastasis occurred during that period- and now radiation is no longer an option. I read about oleander and I intend to see if she will agree to take it. However, I do not want to give her something that will comprimise the potential positive cancer fighting that her new chemotherapy regimen may be doing. The cancer treatment centers of america offer naturopathic support, and while she received treatment there they never mentioned oleander. They suggested melatonin and green tea extract. After reading about oleander I am surprised it was not suggested, and wonder if the reason is for it may hinder chemotherapy .... please advise. Thank you all for your help. Guest guest
First of all, I would like to welcome you to our group. Oleander is extremely compatible with chemotherapy as it eliminates its side effects, including hair loss. The only known exception is when the drug Cisplatin is used. In this instance hair loss is not eliminted. We recommend that the olender be obtained from Sutherlandia OPC, as it is made in a lab under the strictest conditions and one is assured that there will be no unpleasant side effects. If you choose to make the soup, it must be followed to the letter and you must be sure that the plant being used has not been sprayed with commercial pesticides. I am aware that the cancer treatement centers of america claim to use natural medicine in conjunction with chemotherapy, but don't know to what extent they go to. Actually, oleander would be the thing to use. Unfortunately too many facilities that claim to use alternative medicine are for the most part mainstream. Since I don't know anything about this facility, I will refrain my comments. A few posts back Dr. Lanphier made the statement that radiation causes mestastasis to occur. When I read this I immeditely thought of my dad, who after having radiation for tumors on his neck, ended up with the cancer spreading throughout the rest of his body. And now you mention the same thing. I commend you and it warms my heart to see another person caring for their fellow human being. Actually, this forum has quite a few that are here to help family and friends. I think you are all wonderful. I wish your friend the very best and do I think that oleander can make a difference? I give you an emphatic YES! Let me leave you with some articles to read. Also, please avail yourself to other articles and material in the Files link to the left.
