I am not attacking anyone personally or their “journey.†We are all on a journey. I did some quick research and found a study that indicates that the presence of endogenous antioxidants in milled flaxseed may account for the stability that was observed (time period of 4 months). Dear Dr Loretta, Not to worry; I am not attached to anything I know or think I know. I’m a journalist, not a doctor. I did the legwork on Omegasentials over ten years ago. When I publish something and people don’t believe it, no big deal. If you question it, fine, that’s why I gave you Stan’s email and some links. This way YOU can do the legwork, as you did. Now, you do NOT recommend Omegasentials over Budwig’s recipe. You are a doctor. You get to recommend for others. I’m just a journalist, and I can tell people only what I would do were I in their shoes. Would I substitute Omegasentials over Budwig’s recipe? I already have. I would substitute chia oil, Udo’s DHA blend, and any form of EPA. All my recipes with omega-3s in some sort are better, in my opinion, than Budwig. The question one has to ask her/himself when looking at Budwig’s work is: were she alive today, would her recipe still be the same? Would Max Gerson’s program still be the same? I doubt it. I’ve interviewed Nick Gonzalez three times, and he’s told me that, because of new research, he’s changed his protocol overnight a few times. The more we learn, the more we’ll change our protocols. Education is evolution. What we know today about DHA and EPA is way out of the scope of Budwig’s work. She didn’t even know that resent research has shown that adding a bit of zinc to her recipe would increase uptake. Had she known, her recipe would have evolved. No, I doubt that Budwigs’s recipe would be the same today as it was in her time, and I doubt that Max Gerson’s program would be the same today were he alive. In fact, having friends who’ve attended Gerson’s clinic in Mexico has proven this out. The program has many, many more options for cancer patients than when Max was alive. So really, it’s a matter of informed choices, as I’m sure you know. You took your path to heal your cancer as others have done. I was once told I had a year to live if I did not follow my conventional doctors’ recommendations. I decided to take my own path, and I watched my patch of malignant melanoma drop off after 21 days of my program, and then I watched pink skin grow back. Tony’s group here has some of the best protocols I’ve seen. And at my site we have a saying: Everything works when you do everything. Of course there are a few things that counter each other, but that’s where being informed really counts. And for the person worried about Tuna Oil and Mercury: my background in college was pre-med with lots of chemistry. Pulling mercury from a substance is a simple process. Stan would never allow contaminated oils in his product. Personally, I’m not afraid of Tuna. I’m a sushi lover. I take EDTA chelation (Golden Pride Formula #1), eat cilantro (see my salad dressing recipe), and take an occasional tab of chlorella. Anyone on a cancer protocol should be using these three things; they bond with heavy metals and you pass them. Blessings, David Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Guest guest
David, You answer some questions before I ask. Was going to ask which oral chelation people prefer. I've had hair analysis and know I have heavy metal poisoning. Can't afford to have my crowns replaced, nor teeth extracted without putting more into my body. I'm doing saunas but it's slow. Can you think of any reason why I can't do chelation at the same time. Will really need to add loads of minerals! You mentioned your site. May I have the URL for perusal. Guest guest
Rhoda, there are many MANY forms of oral chelation out there. My personal favorite is the same as the esteemed Morton Walker's favorite: Golden Pride Formula # 1. I've even tested it. I discovered that one of the women of our local farmer's market handled it, and she got me a few bottles at a discount. I had my stool assayed after 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 8 weeks and sure enough I was passing lead and mercury. Because she's such a great person for helping me out, I try to send her business, Her phone is: 763.444.4840 (Beverly Medvecky). My second choice is Dr Garry Gordon's formula, Beyond Chelation which is sold by Longevity Plus. However, this is a spendy one. Then there is cilantro. I have it in Mexican food, falafels, and my daily salad dressing. There are recipes at my site (and 3 or 4 versions of the salad dressing using different combinations of essential fatty acids). And finally, chlorella. I buy it in bulk and fill my own capsules. I've never found that stuff palatable. Vitamin C, by the way, bonds with iron and you can pass it, but women don't seem to have that problem till post menopause. Now I can't think of any circumstance in which chelation therapy would be contraindicated. Maybe someone out there can? My site is (one of Tony's favorites) www.mnwelldir.org (and my photography is at www.mnwelldir.org/art ). David In a message dated 5/22/2008 8:41:06 A.M.
