Guest guest
I sprinkle some lavender in the rinse and also on a wash cloth for the dryer. Helaine
Guest guest
Doug & Linda- While I have not used EO in my Laundry soap I do put a few drops on a wash cloth and add it to the dryer cycle rather than using dryer sheets. Janet I was wondering how you would use EOs in the laundry? I was making my own laundry soap a while back, but our water is so hard that it didn't do a good job on keeping the whites white and the coloreds bright. I was thinking maybe getting some of the detergents that have no dyes, no scent and adding EO to that. What do you all think? My favorite scent is Sandalwood. I use the Avon fragrance oil as a perfume. I know, I know that probably was a " dirty word " on this list.......fragrance oil, but hey I said I was new to this. Guest guest
It helps some what with static but the biggest thing I have found for static is pulling my clothes out before they are overly dry. this means I hang every thing I can. Guest guest
Hi, Grab some scent-free dryer sheets and add the EO's directly to that... it's not totally natural but works great... fresh, EO scent, no static! Guest guest
Hi Linda, For laundry soap, I've been sticking to either Ecover, Bio-clear or Sal Suds... all natural laundry soaps... you can get unscented in all but Sal Suds, which has a couple EO's in them already.... but still, very little, so your own can be added. Our water is beyond hard here in Florida.. (we thought we had hard water in Connecticut!) - sooooooooooo this Tuesday we're having a water softener installed... (salt and filters, pretty much) and that outta do the trick on the hard water.. we HOPE! Got to the point of we didn't know what else to do.....our laundry comes out great - it's when you bathe/shower that your skin gets so incredibly dry... going thru oils/cremes like crazy! I went nuts trying to make/find something natural for " I-don't-know-how-long that would clean, naturally our laundry and like you, with the water being this hard, those are the only things that I found to work right. (we still don't and won't drink the stuff though.. OR cook with it! <grin>) Might be an idea for ya, don't know.. thought I'd pass along anyways! Guest guest
I use a vinegar rinse on all whites. I just take a bottle of vinegar and add tea tree oil to it and add that to the fabric softener dispenser. Doug & Linda Manley wrote: > I was wondering how you would use EOs in the laundry? Guest guest
Chris, I am on a few Natural/Herbal lists......some of them get a little snooty. I stay, though, for all of the good info that does come through. Just ignore the other stuff. I can honestly say, your list is not snooty in the least. Guest guest
Hello All, I'm interested in the Oleander soup or oleander products. I looked through some of your files but I don't see a " recipe. " Background: I have breast cancer that is 90% estrogen receptor positive. Lump has been there since Nov 07, diagnosed Feb 08. I'm using the Budwig protocol, essiac tea, a cruciferous supplement and my homeopath has me on a particular remedy. I have noticed the lump has flattened out a bit but not many other changes though it has only been around two months. I've always lived a very healthy lifestyle so moving to the Budwig was hardly a change (except for the FOCC mix). I don't want to inundate my body with things but from just the little I've read about oleander, it seems like a good addition. Any information as to how to make the " soup " or another way to ingest it and how much, et cetera would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hi Renee, We recommend that you get your oleander from Sutherlandia OPC. This way you can be assured that you have a batch that has been made in a lab under strict supervision, will be safe and will insure no side effects. If you choose to make the recipe, it must be followed to the letter. You must make sure that the oleander plant that you are using has not been sprayed with any commercial insecticides. If you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to ask.
