Guest guest
Hi Duane, no I don't see any incompatibility between Budwig and oleander. Oleander jumpstarts the immune system, and FOCC allows cancer cells to mature. For the rest of your questions, I have great respect for Sandra O, and don't wish my critique of the protocol according to her to get back to her. I think a modified Budwig is a very healthy diet, but the full protocol is exhausting and expensive, also quite limited.. >> How have you modified the Budwig Protocol? Two main modifications. The diet is based on 2600 calories a day, and no allowance is made for using less FOCC by weight. I'm an active 110 lbs, and tired of not eating much else plus still gaining weight. So I recently halved the amount of FOCC daily, after 2 years. I must be saturated by now! In several ways my general health deteriorated from not taking supplements, as strongly suggested. So I went back to them. And I'm away from electricity and running water quite a lot. So I use freeze-dried organic greens instead of juicing. Cheaper and easier too. It is quite time-consuming, especially if you make everything fresh several times a day. But much less difficult and expensive than say, the Gerson protocol. Guest guest
Hi Rhoda, Thank you for your useful response to my questions. My problem with getting deeply into the Budwig Protocol at this point in time is different from yours. I have lost more than 40 pounds since being diagnosed with prostate cancer on 6/26/06, but I still have another 30 pounds to go. I was obese and the matter of getting that weight off is top priority. I don't see how anyone can lose weight on the Budwig diet. Like you, I have great respect for Sandra Olson. I have been an observer in her for some time, and I have learned MUCH in the process. My goal is to get fully into the Budwig Protocol as soon as possible, along with oleander therapy. In the meantime, however, I too must modify the Budwig diet -- at least until I first lose another 25 pounds. Duane Christensen
