Guest guest
A while back I was making batches of papaya tea which involved simmering for several hours. It really STANK. I was using a large stainless steel pot. On another list, I learned that some stainless is contaminated with nickel, and all aluminum pots are to be avoided because aluminum is implicated in Alzheimers. If the pot contains significant amounts of nickel, it won't attract a magnet, while a better pot will hold a magnet. So I made my next batch of papaya tea using a smaller pot that holds a magnet. No stink, just a grassy smell, not unpleasant at all.If I'm going to make oleander soup, I see a major purchase of a high-quality pot in my future. I already know that I'm allergic to nickel. Guest guest
Well. My pot that I made the oleander in is very old. I bet it has nickle in it. Now I wonder if I have contaminated the soup?
