Guest guest
Hi. Do any of you feel as frustrated as I do when I read/hear about those with "terminal" cancer, and wonder if they have any knowledge of alternative healing? I am referring to John Edwards' wife, and Randy Pausch ("The Last Lecture") the most recent ones in the news. It just seems that they have accepted their fate and prepare to die. Are they relying solely on their doctors' evaluation? How does one reach these brave, but perhaps uninformed people? Betty
Guest guest
Betty, I was thinking the exact same thing. It's a real tragedy in the making. - Betty Edwards oleander soup Thursday, April 10, 2008 7:42 AM Getting the word out Hi. Guest guest
I was thinking the exact same thing last night as I was watching American Idol. The show was " Idol gives back " , which is a charity fund raising event. They spent considerable time talking about orphaned children in Africa as a result their parents/grandparents dying of AIDS. The fund raising is a great idea, but the money would go to buying drugs for the patients so that they might live a little longer. The whole time I was watching it, though, all I could think about was Marc Swanepoel's study with AIDS patients and how Oleander soup might be just what they need. Instead of buying over-priced, inefective drugs for these people, we could be purchasing the oleander soup, or even better, perhaps teaching them how to grow, cultivate, and make the soup themselves. At the American Idol event, there were many celebrities urging people to give money and that's where some of my frustration set in. How much better would it be if we could get the word out to these celebrities and take the first steps to saving these people's lives? By the way...I'm new to the group, I was curious to read about oleander and I'm glad I found it. Thanks for bringing this up, Betty. Wishing all the best to you and yours, Andy oleander soup , Betty Edwards <beted711 wrote: > > Hi.
