This is old news yet still good news to know. I have pretty much stopped buying any food from mainstream companies like Kraft, General Foods, etc.

Trader Joes has a delicious guacamole in a package that is all avocado. Whole Foods makes great guacamole, too. Yet, it is so easy to make it at home -- so why wouldn't you make it yourself and you will get a much better product.

I know there are plenty of reasons to buy mainstream products like

Kraft, General Mills, etc...but is there a particular reason you've

decided to do that? Is there a substance in particular?

Making guacamole is so easy that I don't really consider it as cooking. Just make sure you buy all organic ingredients. If you can chop up a tomato. you can make guac:

one avocado, chopped

one tomato, chopped

one onion chopped

handful of fresh cilantro, chopped

a good shake of hot sauce or to taste

salt and pepper to taste

half of a lemon or lime squirted on the avocado after cutting it so it doesn't turn brown

Mix all the ingredients up in a bowl.

If this is still too hard, go to Whole Foods or Trader Joes and buy real guacamole.
