Guest guest
The shift in mainstream medicine is to give token mention of alternative therapies and supplements instead of outright denial - and the ONLY reason that they are doing this is to attempt to stem the tide of an increasing number of people looking outside mainstream medicine after half a century or more of broken promises, false hopes, ineffective treatments that address only the symptoms of disease and illness instead of the underlying causes and a continued onslaught of side-effect laden drugs that lock us into a lifetime of managed illness. When you look closely, you find that even the most positive of references to any non mainstream treatment or supplement alway carries with it a caveat about needing more study - study they know is unlikely to come if the treatment or supplement is not patentable. Another deceptive feature of this shift is the increasing acceptance of degreed " naturopathic doctors " approved by state boards - which sounds good on the surface until you find that these new mainstream approved naturopaths are subject to much of the same indoctrination that mainstream doctors are, that they are pretty much forced to advise patients to use mainstream therapies first and that they have only a limited number of alternative therapies to choose as complimentary or alternative therapies. In other words, they are pretty much in the same box as traditional doctors are. Like putting love beads on next to the stethoscope. Mainstream lite. Look at the fiasco we had here for awhile when one of the mainstream lites attempted to enlighten us about how the only real and qualified naturopaths were the state licensed ones. Not coincidentally his light no longer shines on this forum. This is not accepting natural and alternative medicine - it is merely an attempt to bring it into the fold and co-opt it and proceed to conduct business as usual. And their business is the total control of our bodies and what we are allowed to put in them or how we are allowed to treat them. Don't be fooled by the same old wolves in natural sheep's clothing. to natural and other alternatives, and thus giving token mention of -- - In oleander soup , robert-blau wrote: > > Oh, yeah, all good points.
