Guest guest
I hate to be the one to pour cold water on this but please consider exactly what this article is saying. “The results were nothing short of dramatic. The growth index in the cancer cells was reduced 34.2%, while the level of programmed cell death increased 30.7%. Women who expressed the HER2 (c-erbB2) metastatic oncogene saw its expression decrease by a dramatic 71%.” The article is talking about “response” which to conventional medicine is huge because that is how they measure success with chemo and radiation. Response rates don’t cure cancer even though when cancer patients hear the words “response rates” they automatically think “cure.” The conventional cancer industry has a lingo that is all their own…they say words that lead a person to believe one thing, when they actually mean something totally different. And adding more muffins does not necessarily mean you will get double the response. Also, the recipe is deficient as far as containing healthy ingredients. Frankly, I am somewhat surprised at even this “response rate” because it doesn’t say if they were eating a healthy diet, exercising, sunlight, etc. I would suggest that there was either more to the protocol or they were also taking drugs, etc. I would also be concerned about heating the flaxseeds and also not consuming them immediately. Dr. Budwig advised to grind the flaxseeds and eat them within 15 minutes. She did say that you could grind them and then immediately mix them with honey (6:1 ration) to form the Linomel (brand name patented by Dr. B) which would keep them from oxidation. Dr. B’s diet for cancer includes 4-6 tablespoons of ground flax seed daily in addition to 6 tablespoons of cold-pressed flaxseed oil to 12 tablespoons of organic cottage cheese (divided into 2 equal servings). Flax Oil and or freshly ground flax seed should never be heated as it is a very fragile oil and heat will affect the properties of the oil. Remember that it only takes one cancer cell to begin the process of cancer…it’s all about the body terrain as to whether that cancer cell can take hold. We all develop cancer cells in our body every day…again, it’s all about the terrain. We need to take our focus off of killing cancer cells (we will never get them all because they develop daily) and direct it to making the body terrain inhospitable for cancer cells and to provide means in which to turn cancer cells back into normal cells. I only offer all of this because if someone is really interested in the Budwig Protocol, it is imperative to do it correctly in order to get good results. Many have variations or substitutes but have no proof that what they offer works. Be careful. Get Dr. Budwig’s books and follow them militantly. She obviously knew what she was doing. Guest guest
Dr. Lanphier, When you mentioned the adverse effects of heating, I should clarify that if I heated the flax seeds, it was purely experimental reasons. I don't know if you were referring to my message or someone else's. I somehow drew out the oil, I'm not sure, but I think it was by boiling it. Naturally, it's more beneficial and less laborious to just buy a bottle of the stuff. oleander soup , " Dr. Loretta Lanphier " <drlanphier wrote: > > I hate to be the one to pour cold water on this but please consider exactly > what this article is saying. > > > > " The results were nothing short of dramatic. Guest guest
No, I was referring to the recipe for muffins in that the ground flaxseed would have to be heated. J Dr. Budwig incorporated freshly ground flaxseed and cold-pressed flaxseed oil in her protocol. Definitely the cold-pressed flaxseed oil will give you more lignans, but the ground flaxseed is incorporated for much needed fiber.
