Guest guest
Hello, I made the O.S. according to the recipe however when I take it I have an almost upset feeling in my stomach and a " Soup " aftertaste for an hour or more. Do others experience this or perhaps I need to make another batch? Great Site! Gerard B.
Guest guest
Bless your heart. Follow these instructions. I prefer the pomegranete juice. "When you take the oleander soup, the bitter taste comes when you swallow and not when you hold it under your tongue prior to swallowing (there are no taste buds UNDER the tongue). Some prefer to flavor their soup with substances like pancake syrup or concentrated grape seed extract (a good choice!). The way the author avoids the bitter taste is to divide the dosage in half and mix half in a glass of grape juice with grapeseed extract, pomegranate juice, blueberry juice, acai juice, or some combination and then put half under the tongue and h old it there until time to swallow. Then, before you swallow, take a gulp of the juice mix and swallow all at once. You barely notice the bitterness this way, and the other half of the dose is sufficiently diluted to barely be noticeable and not be unpleasant at all." Also, you need to be very careful while cooking the oleander soup. May sure there are no pesticides in the variety that you have. Tingling lips is a clue. If you suspect pesticides, don't give a thought to all the time and trauma spent in cooking the soup. Throw it out. Boil it exactly as the instructions say and I use three pillow cases to filter. If you have any more questions, come back. Guest guest
Gerard B. In my experience for the first several doses you may have some nausea. Just make sure to start out with 1 tsp. per day and work up to the 2 tbsp per day that is recommended. You may also experience some diarrhea for the first week or so. If you don't mind my asking....Do you have cancer? Take care, Jeff May <luellamay129 wrote: Bless your heart. Follow these instructions. I prefer the pomegranete juice. Guest guest
That should be start out with 1/4 teaspoon and gradually work your way up to 1 tablespoon three times a day. A bit of nausea is not uncommon. Those who use a final filtering of 3 or more coffee filters (preferabley unbleached) report less nausea and loose stools due to the fine bits of organic matter that are removed. It would be OK to take it with a bit of food to help offset the nausea and drinking a glass of juice afterwards should help the aftertaste. oleander soup , Jeffery Jack <jeffery.jack wrote: > > Gerard B. > > In my experience for the first several doses you may have some nausea.
