Do " the same thing " ?

Yes, I guess IP-6 does " the same thing, " if you mean it works for some

people some of the time, and that it is no " miracle treatment " for

cancer. I am not at all impressed with this Dr. Rowen for being a tease

about artemisinin and for making it sound far more effective than it is.

From all I have seen, alternative treatment for cancer is akin to

Edison's invention of the electric light bulb: you keep trying whatever

is available until, with perseverance and luck, you find what works for

you.

But at the same time, you increase your chances of living well and long

with the cancer by making proper changes to your diet and to your

lifestyle, by drinking plenty of water and otherwise treating your body

and mind as kindly as possible.

On top of that, there can be mainstream treatment which, when used

judiciously in conjunction with the rest of what you are doing, can be

of very significant benefit.

I think it says it all when a nostrums purveyor is telling you that only

after you fork over your money will he give you enough information to

make a assessment of the value of his knowledge or product. This is the

sort of advertising you see when the marketeer is a con artist, when the

buyer is desperate or gullible, when the product is mediocre, and when

there is not enough of a potential mark-up to allow for an MLM

structure.

Correct.

I do not like such " teasers " about cancer treatments. On top of being a

tease, they are terribly exaggerated. Artemsinin certainly does not work

100 percent of the time, or anywhere near that.

If you've been researching cancer cures and cancer treatment for any

decent length of time, by the way, you will find that there is nothing

new coming from the alternative area, by the way.

I think, if we made a decent effort, the members of this board could

list all known alternative treatments in short order.

A list of over a hundred alternative cancer treatments can be found at:

I probably have a several thousand more alternative cancer treatments in

my files. This does not speak to the efficacy of any of them though.

I really don't think such lists are that useful to anyone outside of

monitoring agencies. So often combination therapies are used or a

particular remedy might be useful only at toxic doses (e.g. oleander) or

only on certain cancers (e.g., wasabi on certain stomach cancers), or in

certain cultures with very different diets (e.g. rodent tuber). I think

a more useful list would be a list of the ways one can assess progress

(e.g., tracking sudomotor response).

Message 26313: Well said, Vincent, though I did not mind paying Bill

Henderson for his book, his help and advice. With regard to

Rowen/artemisinin, it seems to me that if someone with a message like

his says enough about a particular " secret cure " that it's not going to

be hard to figure out or to find out, with a search, what it is they are

talking about. WE could even play a game called " Name That Cure. "

Message 26316: Thanks for the list. It saves some time and lots of

messaging. Still, some well-known treatments are conspicuously missing

from the list, among them Budwig/FOCC, Cantron/Protocel and Paw Paw

Extract. I'm sure others are missing, too. Still is an excellent list

that can save people the money they might otherwise spend on internet

book offers that promise to reveal anwhere from 10 to 30 treatments.
