Guest guest
It is sad times, since the bill passed something like 413-15.I am sure that, just like the Senate version, and just like the Patriot Act and most other bills, a very great many congressmen and women really had no idea of of the entire contents of the bill. Now, before we panic: Passing the law is one thing - actually using the deceptive wording to restrict supplements on a nationwide scale in a short period of time is quite another. While the new law does give the FDA new ammunition, they and their Big Pharma controllers still remember, and are still smarting from, the backlash that turned into DSHEA when they tried a large scale move in the past.Just because a law is passed does not mean that it is in its entirety constitutional. As a matter of fact, much of what the government does in general, and the FDA does routinely is patently unconstitutional and can be challenged on those grounds.Somewhere along the way - about the mid 1850's - the United States ceased to be operated as a country of the people and of the sovereign states and began to be operated as a corporation for the entire body of people and entire collection of states. Constitutionally, the Federal Government holds power only in a ten square mile area and depends on the rights specifically granted by the people in the rest of the country. More and more, it has taken than to mean whatever rights it can take without sufficient objections to overrule, but that is not how the constitution nor declaration of independence read. http://www.usavsus.info/One of these days, they may just step to far and create a backlash that ends up with a Ron Paul type forcing us to return to the kind of government and system our forefathers intended. As it is, the FDA best not be too heady. Paul is standing by with a bill that goes way beyond DSHEA.I'm hoping they screw up royally and the Ron Paul bill gets implemented. In the meanwhile, I do not foresee any wide-scale sudden loss of access to supplements.Tony
