From http://www.wellnessresources.com/health_freedom.php( Folks - this is hugely important! This is not another attention diverting or attention grabbing message by the Laibow/Stubblebine fifth column, this is the real deal and I urge everyone who reads this to take action and respond - Tony Isaacs)The House Version of S.1082 (H.R.2900) Continues the Attack on Dietary Supplements

Monday, July 02, 2007

Byron Richards, CCN

Fake drug safety legislation now moves to the floor of the House

(H.R. 2900). The Senate has already passed its similar version

(S.1082). Within this legislation is a blatant attack by the FDA on dietary supplements.

The FDA is seeking the power to brand dietary supplements as unsafe

using drug related risk-benefit analysis. Unless the wording in the

bill is changed the FDA will have the power to remove any dietary

supplement from the market based on its opinion. The bill is expected

to come to the floor of the House for debate and vote during the second

or third week of July.

Within this massive 300 page FDA reform bill is a major change called the Reagan-Udall Foundation that turns the FDA into a drug company.

As part of this Reagan-Udall Foundation the FDA is seeking new powers

under the pretense of consumer safety. In reality, the FDA is seeking

the power to brand any dietary supplement it chooses as unsafe and

remove it from the market. Since the FDA considers dietary supplements

competition to drugs and since the FDA is becoming a drug company, it

is likely that many dietary supplements will be removed to clear the

path for greater pharmaceutical profits.

Take Action Today! We currently need to flood Sen. Hatch and Harkin's offices with letters. Please send a letter to Hatch and Harkin, plus your own representatives telling them to amend HR.2900 (S.1082) to protect dietary supplements.

What a surprise. Not!

It does not surprise me a bit that they are continuing this. And now after I have just been part of the reason for breaking the circuits in Washington for the Immigration Bill, I will continue where I left off and start, emailing, faxing, and calling my Representatives both at home and in Washington.

Here is a very interesting tidbit for everyone. Doctors in my area anyway, are forbidding patients from taking any types of supplements. They have strict instructions that they are only to take what the doctor prescribes. This also holds true for nursing homes, only there, the staff makes sure that they get no health supplements

The attempted annihaliation of natural health has actually begun, but now it is on paper. What is most scary to me is that these people are listening to their doctors. I try to reason with them and tell them that it is their right to take health supplements, but to no avail. And the ones that I did have taking supplements and who were actually much, much better, are listening to their doctors and becoming ill again. I am referring to our elderly population. Then, you have the children who agree with their doctors and are denying their parents the right to life.

An article, that I have actually been meaning to compose for a couple of weeks now will be in the article directories shortly.
