I was only suggesting washing the leaves at first when she got it from the

nursery to remove any

pesticide residue or overspray, since I have never seen a nursery seperate the

plants out very

carefully as to which ones got sprayed and which ones didn't.

Since you said that about two layers forming, I remembered a post by Tony saying

that there shouldnt

be a lot of sediment in the bottle. So, how does one know what is too much or

what is the natural part

of the combining process? What color was your final mixture? Mine did not end up

being what I would

call clear or even a " light " tea color. After two weeks of bowel problems, I

decided that I hadnot

strained it enough. Can you clarify any of this Dr. Goebbel? Thanks, Janna

organically. After your

organic plants are growing, when you harvest them, you might want to leave some

of the spiders,

mites, etc on them and not wash the plants. Just break or cut them up and put

directly into the pot.

I always wipe clean the mouth of the jar and the canning lid before replacing

the lid on the jar.

Sediment means particulate (solid) matter. You can easily have to

liquids that don't mix, such as olive oil and water. Shake them up

vigously together and you will have a suspension for a few seconds

before the layers separate. The vodka causes two liquid layers. Just

use enough filtration to omit any small solid particles in the mix.

Thanks May - I was feeling the same way - I thought that it was diapers,

but wasn't sure

(ROTFL). That's great, I am sure that they filter well when they are folded over

a few times, might tuck

some coffee filters underneath for good measure. Sounds good to me. Thanks,

Janna

Maria: Are you sure they are not containing any product if you are using them for a strainer, they could contaminate your product. Are these made of cotton or they paper like. And they don't have any washing/disenfecting product on them? I don't think that

it is possible to find

material like that in the grocery store, except paper towels, coffee filters,

and some other personal

products. But, even there everything has been bleached (unless you get the brown

coffee filters -

organic) Here, I guess we have polluted just about everything. Janna

In other countries Nappy's are the same as diapers but these liners are different, as Maria pointed out, but I would worry about the chemicals in them..janicecr8iveart wrote: Thanks May - I was feeling the same way - I thought that it was diapers, but wasn't sure (ROTFL). LOL! Hi Mary! Are you referring to baby wipes? Here they are treated with all sorts of chemicals. How about tissues. Maybe tissues would be the same?

Thanks May - I was feeling the same way - I thought that it was diapers, but wasn't sure (ROTFL). That's great, I am sure that they filter well when they are folded over a few times, might tuck some coffee filters underneath for good measure. Sounds good to me. hey luella may.

here in Australia the nappy liners are dry tissues like material that are not treted with chemicals and they filter just fine.

i dont believe tissues though can do the job because they break easy, but why not tried and see.

LOL! Hi Mary! Are you referring to baby wipes? Here they are treated with all sorts of chemicals. How about tissues. Maybe tissues would be the same?

Hi there,

I tried sending my pictures of the nappy liners but the files were to big for one email, so I'm breaking it up. If you have received these twice, I apologise.
