Guest guest
FYI - A couple of weeks ago I paid a vist to one of the most experienced oleadnersoup makers in the known universe and was surprised to find that she has been using colloidal silver as a preservative for some time now, that it has lasted for over a year with no mold, and, due probably to the superior colloidal silver she uses, it takes far less than a 50/50 mix! Guest guest
HI Yes! We use colloidal silver in several of our formulations. It is anti-microbial. As long as there is nothing in the formulation to counteract it (which there shouldn't be with the soup) then it is great to use for this purpose AND you get the added benefit of the silver. Guest guest
One can use colloidal silver but the mix turns very dark (when the ionized silver reacts with oxygen and turns to silver oxide) if not bottled in a dark container fairly quickly. If left for a day or two before bottling, it turns black when mixed with 50% colloidal silver. Guest guest
Thanks Marc. The person I am referring to uses the best CS on the planet (see the link for the chart in my last post) and only uses 20% to 80% oleander. She does use brown bottles, keeps it refrigerated and reports no mold after a full year. oleander soup , " Marc Swanepoel " <marcswan wrote: > > One can use colloidal silver but the mix turns very dark (when the ionized silver reacts with oxygen and turns to silver oxide) if not bottled in a dark container fairly quickly. Guest guest
Pam in NZ here,I;m just about to make another batch of Oleander soup even tho it is winter here and I like to have the flowers with the leaves(just my own feeling) because I found that the first lot I consumed with vodka was too much alcohol for me,,,then the next lot I made with cider vinegar felt like a gut full of paint stripper !! So 3rd time lucky I have some strong collodial silver and I feel that this will be the way to go.......might also add a small bottle of lemon essence..........cheers...Pam - Tony oleander soup Monday, June 11, 2007 5:33 PM Oleander and colloidal silver update FYI -A couple of weeks ago I paid a vist to one of the most experiencedoleadnersoup makers in the known universe and was surprised to findthat she has been using colloidal silver as a preservative for sometime now, that it has lasted for over a year with no mold, and, dueprobably to the superior colloidal silver she uses, it takes far lessthan a 50/50 mix! Guest guest
If it isn't the CS from the company I work with, I would suggest a mix closer to 50/50. Not trying to hawk Utopia Silver's CS, but it is made with a unique process that only two companies use (because the guy who invented it, a friend of mine since childhood, only sold it to two companies, and then he bought one of them - Utopia Silver). oleander soup , " Pam Griffin " <pgriff wrote: > > Pam in NZ here,I;m just about to make another batch of Oleander soup even tho it is winter here and I like to have the flowers with the leaves(just my own feeling) because I found that the first lot I consumed with vodka was too much alcohol for me,,,then the next lot I made with cider vinegar felt like a gut full of paint stripper !!
