Do I realy need a porcelain steam pot ?

Hello everybody,

 

I am a new member with stage III prostate cancer.

I spent many hours reading this group (slowly for my poor

English - I am from France).

I read in the oleander soup recipe " Use a large porcelain steam pot " .

I would want to know if I can use a stainless steel steam pot or if I

absolutely need to look for a porcelain pot.

A stainless steel pot works just fine. Actually, any kind of pot

would work fine, but the reason for either stainless or porcelain is

mainly to keep the chemicals from leaching into the pot and/or

discoloring the pot.
