Guest guest
From BottomLineHealth: Cholesterol Drugs Flunk All Major Tests in Enormous New Clinical Trial * 8-year study of 10,000 patients leaves no wiggle room for drug giants... * Statins fail to prevent heart attacks, heart disease or death... * WHY DID ALL THE RESEARCH GET BURIED? Boston—Scientists gasped in disbelief when the final results were released, but the numbers speak for themselves. Cholesterol drugs are worthless. For 8 long years, these researchers studied 10,000 people with high cholesterol. Half of them got a best-selling statin drug. The other half were simply told to eat right and get enough exercise. Result? The statin takers did indeed cut their cholesterol levels, but so what? When doctors measured their actual heart disease rate, the statin drug flunked every test: * FAILED! Statins made no difference in death rate... * FAILED! Statins made no difference in nonfatal heart attacks... * FAILED! Statins made no difference in deadly artery trouble... In other words, the statin-users had just spent 8 years taking a costly drug with hideous side effects—risking liver failure, muscle wasting, even sudden death—for nothing. But here's the most outrageous part of all. When the scientists dutifully wrote up their research in a major peer-reviewed journal... The fat cats who run our mass media TOSSED IT IN THE TRASH! WHY? This is not a rant from some antidrug pundit. It's mainstream research! It's huge! It has life-or-death implications for tens of millions of Americans! So why did the media giants bury it? Could it have anything to do with the fact that cholesterol drug ads are paying their bills?
Guest guest
Well, this is criminal and it will continue until they are found out. Wait. They have been found out, but it will still continue. The side effects that I have seen are very severe. Some cannot even walk and are in excrutiating pain. So far, when the folks I see stopped taking the medication altogether, they did get better and regained their ability to walk. Could this muscle condition become so severe that it could be fatal? oleander soup , " Tony " wrote: > > From BottomLineHealth: > > Cholesterol Drugs Flunk > All Major Tests in Enormous New Clinical Trial > > * 8-year study of 10,000 patients leaves no wiggle room for drug > giants... > * Statins fail to prevent heart attacks, heart disease or death... > * WHY DID ALL THE RESEARCH GET BURIED? > > BostonScientists gasped in disbelief when the final results were > released, but the numbers speak for themselves. I wonder how many hearts have been affected and how many we have not heard about? I wrote an article at my site about statin drugs, and that when they were released, they were "supposed" to be prescribed WITH CoQ10. This was in the instructions to MDs. But...that got dropped along the way. However, it's best to realize that cholesterol has never been shown to cause cardiovascular disease. It's a non issue, but pharm companies will stop at nothing to make everyone a patient. DavidSee what's free at AOL.com.

Guest guest
How curious that the CoQ10 was ignored. oleander soup , ahzoov wrote: > > > In a message dated 5/3/2007 6:48:49 P.M.
