Guest guest
Eggs really aren't that bad for your cholesterol, especially if you use the free ranging high omega-3 version. Beside, the whole cholesterol thing is mostly a myth used to promote new treatments and drugs, such as the statin drugs which, in typical mainstream medicine fashion, do nothing to treat the underlying causes of high cholesterol, but instead force the liver to artificially produce less cholesterol. Wonder of wonders, they are finally admitting that statin drugs have some pretty nasty side effects. Imagine that! My suggestion is to make yourself a good healthy omelet of organic high omega-3 free ranging hen eggs mixed 50/50 with one of the better egg substitutes made from 98% or more egg whites (read the ingredients carefully to make sure you avoid any soy or msg!), with some chopped tomato, onion, garlic, mushrooms (rieshi, maitake or shitake), peppers, and whatever else strikes your fancy or tastebuds (I have used squash, zucchini, broccoli and more) etc., and a bit of cayenne. Yum! P.S. Wouldn't it be great for members to share their favorite healthy recipes with the group? Guest guest
The cholesterol lowering drugs, and the pseudo-science which promoted it, was the greatest mass health fraud of the 20th century. Indeed, those who participated in the Framingham study which lived the longest, a group of ladies in their 90's, had the highest cholesterol levels of anyone in the study. Follow the money for the reasons why society has been placed on statin drugs. If you are one of the unfortunate individuals who is a victim of this fraud, do not suddenly stop your drug regimen. You must be educated, redirected, and weaned off them. Dr. Goebel Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? Check out new cars at Autos. Guest guest
Thank you for this information David. This is the second time I have read that cholesterol and what you eat has nothing to do with heart disease. And I just had a long conversation with a lady I know who is taking statin drugs. She has only been taking them for two months. I have seen the results that these drugs have had with the elderly. What causes concern is that they are not even diagnosed correctly immediately upon the side effects showing up. Sometimes they are strung along until they can hardly walk and become quite ill. It is very interesting to note that the actual blood test for cholesterol is also a scam. I wasn't aware of that at all. I will see her tomorrow and bring her this information. The problem I come across with 80% of the people I talk to is fear. Despite the side effects of these drugs, when told about natural alternatives, they choose to trust their doctor and continue with their treatment. I have even come across this very same thing with cancer patients that are terminal. They hold on to that very last hope that maybe this last chemo that they will be taking will do the trick. oleander soup , ahzoov wrote: > > > In a message dated 4/29/2007 5:17:20 P.M. Guest guest
Did you ever touch on a subject that is so frustrating for me: those whom modern medicine has failed who refuse to trust what nature has provided for them. I have seen so many cancer forums and cancer support groups (and been booted off more than one!) that refuse to even listen to anything that doesn't come from their oncologists and mainstream medicine, and I KNOW that so many of them do not have to continue suffering and die. What modern medicine has done in suppressing and replacing natural healing with dangerous and ineffective drugs and treatments is simply evil! oleander soup , " May " <luellamay129 wrote: > > Thank you for this information David. Guest guest
I stopped being frustrated by this, because the anger was hurting me and there is absolutely nothing I can do about this situation. Again, I find it amazing that you were kicked off forums for offering at the very least a viable alternative to conventional medicine. It actually saddens me greatly when someone chooses to trust the hand that is killing them instead of trying something that will give them life. The people I deal with mainly are elderly. And the lady I spoke to today was elderly. The common denominator that keeps them from trying something that will help them is fear. Irrational fear. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. Now, I find this reaction a bit amazing when it comes to terminal patients because at that point, heck, I would give something else a chance. They have nothing to lose. Yet, when given a choice between life and death, they will cling to the conventional treatment. They choose death. The most heartbreaking of all are the nursing homes. Here, these folks have absolutely no say as to their treatment. I see them every week and they tell me about their illnesses and how they are feeling. In these cases, there is absolutely nothing I can do, but watch as medicine slowly kills them. I see the hope in their eyes, knowing that, in reality, there is no hope. They are the " captive audience. " What can you do, other than love them? oleander soup , " Tony " wrote: > > Did you ever touch on a subject that is so frustrating for me: those > whom modern medicine has failed who refuse to trust what nature has > provided for them. > > I have seen so many cancer forums and cancer support groups (and been > booted off more than one!) that refuse to even listen to anything that > doesn't come from their oncologists and mainstream medicine, and I > KNOW that so many of them do not have to continue suffering and die. > > What modern medicine has done in suppressing and replacing natural > healing with dangerous and ineffective drugs and treatments is simply > evil! > > > > oleander soup , " May " <luellamay129@> > wrote: > > > > Thank you for this information David.
